  1. Its a strange one. I know somebody who bought a Dutch car in the UK and took it over to Spain. They are still not sorted with the paperork and its running grey after 2 years. Sounds as though it should be simple but definately wrth a phonecall to the DVLA first.
  2. All vehicles entering the UK from outside the EEC that are less than 10 years old, require British National Type Approval (SVA). To ensure that they meet all UK build and safety requirments. You cannot register a vehicle in the UK without an SVA certificate. The following documents will need to be submitted to the DVLA local office, photocopies are not acceptable. completed application form V55/4 (for new vehicles) or V55/5 (for used vehicles) a £55.00 registration fee (if applicable) the required fee for the licence a current British certificate of insurance foreign registration document and any other papers you have relating to the vehicle evidence showing the date the vehicle was collected (normally the invoice from the supplier) evidence of type approval the appropriate HM Revenue and Customs form C & E 386 - this form is issued by HMRC for a vehicle of any age personally imported from outside the EU

  4. Cant understan this mate, we were parked just in the entrance to the "field" they were using for parking from about 1-15 waiting for the others to arrive. Must have missed you by minutes.
  5. Very strange one, hazards not working but indicators are. Not heard this before so cant really elp. Awful timing too at MOT time. Welcome to the forum and sorry I cant be more helpful.
  6. Driving back through Kendal with Stan was about the heaviest rain I have ever seen. Someone else can arrange the next meet unless a few owners fancy taking their cars to Spain
  7. Thanks for turning up guys, another very wet day. Very nice to cheer the locals up with the arrival of the Boxters Had a nice moment on the drive home with a coach having blown its engine. Fire brigade had hosed off the road but caused a bit of drifting for a while. Great to meet you all and must do this in the sunshine sometime

  17. If the seller uses the full price duty is high. If the seller uses a lower value just hope it doesnt get damaged ot you will lose out on insurance.
  18. Bought mine from the statesbefore they were readily available from over here. If you allow for shipping and duty you wone be far from the £850 IMO. Also, if there are problems its easier to sort out with a UK supplier. As you are up early then pop up to Carlisle today, plenty of different exhausts to listen to
  19. In this country or abroad.
  20. Glad we havent lost it completely. Lot of work needed at Donny to bring it anywhere near the standard required.
