After a bit of a late finish last night we are having a chill out day. This is partly due to the fact that the Queen is popping down for lunch here. Not much point in trying to go anywhere as most of the roads are closed. Looks like we will be sitting in the sunshine on our balcony with a spectacular view. Todays question is...... where are we staying, its the hotels name I am after. This is a picture from our balcony.

Another little update, this time the raffle. I try to find prizes which are a little different soo this year, apart from a few items of local produce including the world famous Cartmel Sticky Toffee Pudding there will be a few specials. A guy I am seeing in concert tonight has kindly donated a signed cd, I cant post his name as its part of the competition I am running at the moment. Next Friday I am lucky enough to be going to see the kegend that is Terry Reid, he is doing a gig at a friends house which is pretty amazing. Hes on a UK tour and has a free night so this is something a little speacial He has agreed to donate a signed cd. There is also a vintage bottle of malt whisky in a presentation jug. It was vintage when it was bought in 1971 so is worth a few quid now.

And for the yunger members, ask an older relative.

OK, heres the second clue. I will post it early so you can solve it while I am off enjoying myself. Tonight I am at a concert and will be seeing this guy. Where is the concert at though.

A nice easy one to start with.

So hwew is the first clue. We have just arrived at a friends hotel in Charmouth. Well worth a visit and the food is fantastic. The hotels name is the same as a famous building designed by James Hoban. I had the scallops this evening but where were they hand dived from. Just make a note of the answer and pm me once you have them all.

I will be organising the tickets and track time for this one so keep posting up interest to give us an idea of numbers. Its not likely that I will be stumping up £800 for extra tracktime this time though so if you really want it let me know, once we have booked a block then thats it. I am off on hols for a week from Wednesday so will get a post up when I get back.

I am off on a little tour of the South West again on Wednesday, time for another little free comp. Each day I will post up a picture with a question, very similar to last years format. I will post 5 or six pictures and then ask for pms with the answer. A few minutes on google will sort out the answer. There will then be a simple tie break question related to searching on here. Yes the forum does have a search button. Please be aware that some of the places I stay may have dodgy internet so I may have to wait until the following day to get online to post. CS has kindly offered to provide a prize for the comp, something to suit all the members on here. See have a look each day and join in.

Stuck up in the wilds of Scotland with very iffy internet. I was trying to keep an eye on the posts and as ever was very relieved to see there were no mishaps during the day. Apart from the weather it looks like you all had a great day which is what its all about. I have nicked all the good weather and have is stored up for late June. On the way to Aberdeen now so hopefully tinternet should be better there.

Thanks again Chris. Look like I am on a roll at the moment weather wise. Basking in Sunshine for three days at home and now had three gloriuos days in Fraserbirgh. Off to Invergordon for a couple of days then back to Aberdeen. Lets see if we can keep this trend going. I am in Cronwall for a week from the 15th and will be at an outdoor concert at the Minnack so that could be a challenge.

I will get someone clever to do it. Dont forget the meet and greet on the Friday if you are there.

Just one simple suggestion. If you think the zed is good then see it with lots of others. Get to a meet soon.

Use the Autoglym two pack kit, I have tried everything and its the best by far.

IMO be very careful of giving the car to a dealer to sort it out. I did this and they had it for six months and ended up throwing parts at it which in my opinion they damaged. The roof will play up when its not warm and the trick seems to be to keep the parts well greased and open and close it frequently. My roof still sticks and needs a helping hand now and again but after a couple of attempts its fine.
