Just to explain the thinking behind this, a car advertised on the forum by a longstanding member can be searched on here. Many will have seen it and can give testimony to the standard of maintenance and condition of the vehicle. This would give the seller a possible advantage in a very difficult market. We would also be watching for someone spamming the forum to get the 15 posts so that will not work.

As a general rule take everything that a dealer tells you with a pinch of salt, soem know what they are talking about but others dont. Also, Nissan prices are crazy, even if this is the fix the parts are available a lot cheaper elsewhere. Others will be along to give you more specific advice. Can you tell us when the overheating starts, as soon as you run or over a period of time.

One other thing worth mentioning. The standard of the body kit is obviously very important but the standard of the bodyshop is also a big issue. Use somewhere that knows what they are doing. You will have to live with the results.

Thanks for the nice comments guys and once again a big thanks to Phil and his team, things are rarely straightforward when I am there. The blowing exhaust issue which was causing me some concern turned out to be a damaged/grounded cat. The ECU was ignoring it though, very strange. I love the wheels, hopefully I have got a slighty subtler balance for summer with the 18s for winter. The drive back was a pleasure although it was less than spirited as it had been a long day. I was even overtaken by two zeds, an 08 Chilli on the way out of Sunderland and one that seemed very familiar, an 07 black coupe on the A66. To round off a really great day I was even treated to big smiles and a little bit of fun by a traffic car on the A590, good to see they appreciate sensible driving. One happy owner. As for Saturdays, Phil wont commit to meets on Saturdays as he may get a call from an owner needing help
