  1. Apart from being a mod on here I also have other forums to sort out. We also spend a lot of time organising events, sorting out tickets and chasing up any problems which member have. The rules have been evolved and tweaked over many years. They are there to protect the members and make it easy for us to work out if a post is approved.I would be more inclined to accept your point if you were arguing that the rules were wrong but I think your 4 months experience on here is probably less than the teams as most of us have been her for 6 years.
  2. In your case it was straightforward, you didnt meet the criteria clearly posted in the section. Most people have the courtesy to contact the team prior to posting. If I had to pm everyone who had a post rejected I would be asking for a wage rise.
  3. That's open to your opinion though, the same way I think the rules are unfair I've just got to 'suck it up' and get on with it. It's not a one way street. Not really, the reason we have the rules is it makes it fair for all. You would be amazed at how many people ask to be a special case. If we think the request has merit we discuss it before breaking our own rules.
  4. And just for the record having a pop at "Admin" is unfair, any of the mods can approve or dissapprove a post too.
  5. I assume you can work out why the rules are in place, its not rocket science. Assuming you understand why they are there why do you think you would be any different to the many other people who pm us asking to sell when they dont meet the criteria.
  6. You will be reassured that the police up here are very easy going Ian.
  7. It seems he is not as well known as I thought. Amazing that more people dont know of him though.
  8. Having owned, sold and regretted selling all the earlier models I still love them all. Thats why I have a special affiliation for Z club.
  9. Being on the stand just lets the visitors have a chance to look at the cars all in one place. As we have the whole range of models it makes a very good visual impact sowing how the marque has progressed over 40 years. You dont have to stand by the car so can come and go as you please. We normally have a meeting point near the show and drive in a couple of miles at about 7 am. It gets very busy and the show opens to the public at 9 am.
  10. Yes mate, 1 ticket per person and one stand pass.
  11. Just found this on photobucket, my first attempt at organising a meet. What a disaster. I had been in Spain and just got back the night before. They had rough dressed the roads on the route and it hammered down with rain. Add to that Chesterfields car getting back ended.
  12. Still one of the favourite pics of my car. Nothing like sitting in the sun with a cold drink while someone else polishes it.
  13. And a real classic. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HC1MLr5ttAI
  14. How cool is this. Terry Reid is touring at the moment and has a free night so he is coming and doing a gig at a friends house. A more chilled Friday night is hard to imagine. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5U2EbIsKY1c
  15. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/71538-japfest-2-7th-july-donny-payment-please/page__hl__japfest Get your payment in quickly please guys.
  16. £14 per person payable to paypal@zxclub.net The extra £1 will cover postage costs. Need to know if there is more than one club stand car pass required PM me your address Track time, please deal with that separately through the Japfest 2 website Please make sure you add your username when using Paypal. Deadline is 1st of JUNE so I can get the booking in! Olease note that unlike Japfest each person needs a ticket so its not one ticker per car. Anyone wanting track time please book this directly. 1/ Name nuber of tickets required. Number of stand passes needed Paid.
  17. For anyone wanting to throw themselves out of a plane mention John Hargreaves when booking.
  18. A little bit more info for all who will be attending. If coming in from the M6 your sat nav will probably bring you in through Grange over sands. This is fine but for those wishing to avoid the traffic and the one BIG speed bump in Grange I would suggest you use an alternative route. Stay on the A590 until you get to the turn off for the Anglers Arms at Haverthwite. ( LA12 8AJ ) Its just one left turn onto Holker Mosses and you will arrive in Cark in Cartmel with the Rose and Crown right ahead of you. A couple of reminders when driving around here. Tourists drive in the middle of the road. We have lots of horses and cyclist on the lanes. Badgers and foxes routinely dive out into the road and when dead stay there to try and take your bumpers off. Our local deer take great delight in throwing themselves over walls onto your bonnet, a mate has had two cars written off by deer. Its starting to look pretty busy but if the weather is as good as predicted the camping area may get busy. The fallback position would be this place which is two miles away. http://cartmelcamping.co.uk/facilities.html
  19. Well thats me home again and I remembered to record the mileage. The sun is still shining but then again it usually does up here.
  20. Its difficult to give exact numbers for this as people camping just turn up and dont need to book, For those that are interested a conservative estimate at this time would be 40 cars with more calling me every day.
  21. Thanks Hugh. I will leave the comp open until midnight Thursday so people can catch up. Friday night I am off to see the legend that is Terry Reid doing a gig at a mates house, Saturday is Cartmel races, Sunday I have a little celebration, Monday its races again.... Life is good at the moment.
  22. The more the merrier mate, look forward to seeing you. As for the price of skydiving its all on their website.
