Are you really tied to one dealer on this, if not Barrow is closer and they dont need the car. Just need the number so if you already have that it may be easier.

Bear in mind that the dealers will be on a learning curve with this too. They will not be familiar with some of the issues with the zed and are often happy for input

I had my non GT clarion replaced under warranty by Barton Townley in Barrow. Servive Manager is John. They took the number off the defective unit and re-fitted it. They sent the warranty claim to clarion who shipped in a replacement unit. The dealer then has 5 days to change out the unit and get it back to Clarion. Nissan UK are not involved. Its easier for the dealer to remove the unit and keep it, it saves them work.

Hi and welcome the the forum, on the subject of standing water, the zed is obviously higher anyway and I have had occasion, without an alternative, to take a flood which came halfway up my drivers door. The water stayed outside. As for insurance try Chris Knot or Sky on here, they will give you a definitive answer on the import question and pretty competative quotes.

As long as it has been serviced any defects would have been picked up on so it wouldnt worry me unduly .

Traction control works on balance bud, if the new tyres are causing an inbalance in grip this may cause the problem. I know its all down to money but changing the front tyres as well to Toyos will improve matters.

Maqybe worth a call to Phil at ESR when he is well again, he has transplanted a few sets of seats and may be able to give you some pointers.
