  1. In my opinion the quality of the parts is the main issue, there are lots that dont fit. Getting a part from a reputable trader on here is worth considering. If the paint shop cant match colours then change to one that can, Azure seems to be the hardest along with UY but there are people out there who can do it.
  2. +1. Sarnie knows what he is talking about and will be able to give you some great advice.
  3. I am very pleased for her but just wish the media wouldnt go on and on about it when its obvious that there will be no details until its over. As with many stories they just talk drivel and get lots of experts on who comment on anything the media can think of to use up airtime.
  4. Hi and welcome to the forum, I love the wheels.
  5. I would say have a chat to someone who works offshore and identify what you would want to do and what skills you need. As with any job you dont get paid good money because they want to, the wages can be good but it has its drawbacks too.
  6. Eh? Lots of the threads implied the money was really good so i just wondered what the ballpark figure was. One mans good may be another mans awesome or average. Are all jobs on the rig good pay or are some not so good.......... chef for instance Just ball park will do As a ball park figure for a chef. Trainee, about 12k. Experienced from about 25k to 40k I would say.
  7. I suppose I may count. Spent several years bringing the perfume and steaks to you guys in all weathers. Most of the time we were anchor cranking for Total, a pretty good company too. This was back in the 80s before health a safety was invented. I now get to sit in Aberdeen and watch monstrosities that pass for supply boats nowadays. I also get to drag them in when they lose one of their numerous thrusters. One of my other roles is getting to play with the massive play station that is the ship simulator. Apart from that I frequent Mikes chippy and spot zeds in commercial quay car park.
  8. So this is how I finance the event. I have a selections of coats and jackets which were left at the hall in the .. er.. excitement of the evening. Anyone who lost anything let me know and hopefully I can reunite you with your property. Not sure I will get any takers for the panda suit with attached chains though.

  10. Great timing, off to Rosyth for a week or so tomorrow.
  11. Thats not good. The most common fault seems to be the roof sections getting out of synch, if its the compartment catch it could be tricky to get to. One further tip at the moment, before you commit to a dealer check they have experience with the roof, mine didnt, started to throw parts at it, took six months and still didnt sort it properly. If the fault light is picking up on the issue they should be able to get a read out of the fault. Also worth asking Alex nicely, he has a lot of experience with the hoods and was kind enough to give me some good advice.
  12. Sounds like it may be a sensor problem but dont panic yet. They can just get stuck sometimes. First check to see all the joints are greased. The get someone to help you and just give it a little help whilst trying to operate it normally. Its worth doing an ecu reset first to see if that clears any fault.
  13. If its helps I feel your pain. Pics of my car to follow when I get home.
  14. Its a bit gloomy up here today but Friday is looking scorchio. If you get bored pop down to commercial quay for a coffee.
  15. I am back in Aberdeen again so delivery south may be an option, I need a bigger car.
  16. Well, the LakeZ weekend was great, I had a really good time. Unforunately it just got expensive as some local scumbag didnt like the fact that we have some nice cars. With the skillful use of a key he damages all my carbon fibre panels. :banghead: So the car will be going into the body shop when I get home at the end of the month. I will still be at Zedfest though in the scooby
  17. Looks like the treatment worked well guys.
  18. This is the most frustrating part of sorting out these events. They want payment well on advance and then send the tickets out late. Thats the reason I usually ask someone who is attending to hand them out, a bit of a pain for them but it does work. I think it would be worth a joint forum e-mail to the organisers ahead of next year pointing out that they are making the system unworkable for us.
  19. Welcome to the forum, whichever you choose you will be delighted. From another late mid life crisis.
  20. Dont worry, the zed wont be going, in fact its going nowhere at the moment
  21. I have a few hundred spotted cards with me if anyone wants any.
  22. I am at the premier travel inn Sunday night to go to BP on Monday.
  23. Would be good to meet you if you do come along I am free all day and have to drive from Aberdeen to somewhere called Falkirk for Monday morning so it would be rude not to stop of. I will be Jap but unfortunately not zed.
  24. Roof down + Nismo exhaust= Simples. They also look a little different when modded. And Vik, behave yourself or I will put the fire monitors on next time you have a BBQ.
