Personally I would buy a slightly older car and save the money for modding. I dont think you will find much difference in the drive between the various engines. The older ones have plenty of power for me and I have the lardy roadster.

T2 has an 04 350z in Gunmetal Pre facelift mate.

No difference between the roadster and the coupe mate but the 07 onwards cars have a different bonnet with a bulge.
