  1. Hi and welcome to the forum. Sounds like you had a lucky escape. The zed can be quick to punish in slippy conditions so I am pleased you and the car are relatively unscathed. Definately worth a quick laser tracking to give you confidence. What wheel do you have and is it scuffed or actually buckled.
  2. I was thinking of the Premier Travel Inn which is about 4 miles away. Stayed in a pub in a neighbouting village last time. Asked them if there were any speed bumps and they said no. Nearly took the bottom of the car out. Oh the ramps she said.
  3. Hi Kev and welcome. There are a few meets up your way if you are up for them.
  4. Dont worry about it bud, its not that serious around here, we just like to say Hi
  5. Hi and welcome to the forum. Congratulations on purchasing the best colour. Get some pics up when you get the chance, we never tire of looking at pics.
  6. Drop Muddy a pm bud. He will give you some help.
  7. The traders on here will sort you out. They are having a weekend break but will be along soon.
  8. Hi Russ and welcome to the forum. I have moved this to the intro section, you will still get your answers but you get to meet a few of us. The 350z ecu cancels out gains unless you want to play with the ecu. The exhaust and intake mods do make it sound a lot beter though.
  9. I have a birdview so I have no issues with the unit. Its great for general driving. Downside, it doesnt take postcodes and you cant update it. New disks are released every few years but cost several hundread pounds. The unit new costs about £1300 from the dealer plus 5 hours fitting so close to £1800 installed. You may be lucky to get one second hand but to be honest, and in my view only, you can get a fantastic multimedia system for a lot less. Several owner have retro-fitted great systems to their cars. Have a look through the ICE section. Welcome to the forum by the way, stick a post up in the intro section so we can all say Hi
  10. The birdview is a pretty good unit but there are limited options. It wont take postcodes and there is no facility to update. I spend a fair bit of time driving through fields even on roads which have been around for a few years. It has no facility to handle speed cameras and safety zones. I have a Saphire fitted for when this may be an issue.
  11. I would have fully agreed at one point. However, meets are very difficult to arrange. Sorting dates, routes and hotels for people can be a lot of work. Very rewarding but very time consuming. It is therefore more than a little irritating when you post up a "joint" meet on another forum and have it deleted. I now dont fully agree
  12. Hi and welcome to the forum. Well done for getting rid of one of the few issues with the zed at the start.
  13. Very nice, thats a pretty good range of cars
  14. Hi and welcome to the forum. There is a meet at Southend pretty soon so get along and say Hi. You can also have a look at a few cars. Its a joint meet with some Honda owners, no car snobbery on here
  15. But you also sell 350Z-UK merchandise Martin Oh yes, I forgot about that
  16. Hi and welcome to the forum bud. Nice to see the 350z-uk and Z club getting together for the meets. As a former 240z owner I envy you.
  17. I hand out free spotted cards so no probs when we are at the same meet.
  18. I just bought a very tidy 1.0 P reg polo for £200, that under three tanks of fuel for the zed. Insurance should be very cheap.
  19. Especially good service as he has another major life changing event looming. I am sure that if you are organising it there will be no problems, it will be over in record time and under budget.
  20. Use the instructors car until she is well advanced in the driving. Then suprise her with something cheap that she will love. She will have let you know by that time what she likes. You will then have a practical runaround and the zed for yourself
  21. To be honest Singapore has lost a lot of its charm and is now just another buit up city, you would be better advised visiting somewhere like Penang. The trip looks great and I am glad you are staying away from the normal tourist bits of the Far East. Osaka was one of my favourite stops out there, its an amazing place. I love Seattle, a very nice city. I am not sure how New Orleans is faring at the moment but well worth considering although again, Bourbon Streets focus has shifted considerably since I first visited.
  22. Ypu may be suprised at the price from Alex, if you want a laugh ask the dealers first
