I was going to title is tastefully modified roadsters so that would preclude me.
OK, if the others are feeling shy then I will put some pics up.
The first mod is not roadster specific but sounds great with the roof down. Ordered direct from the US when the prices were good. A Nismo exhaust, I also got a JW popcharger shipped at the same time.
The next thing I did was to change the wheels. This was the start of a very slippery slope, I just love different wheels.
The best bit of ownership I was lucky to discover early on. I stumbled on this place when searching for parts. I then made a bad choice and tried to organise a lakes meet. It was not a good day. This was where the drive out ended. A great bunch of people though.
The car was great and I was lucky to live in a great area so enjoyed some great days out. It was about here that I started talking to some of the traders on here, one sadly no more.
The next thing I did was to have the car detailed. Whilst not strictly being a mod this opened my eyes to how to get the best out of the cars dodgy paintwork.
Digsy then sent me this link and i was hooked, its about now that I started to get into modding in a bug way for the first time. I was fortunate to be at a stage of my life when my spare cash enabled me to have some fun.
My route to work took me past Sunderland so I arranged for my car to be dropped off there and I drove to work in the legendary ESR loan Citroen. The problem was that I had some money in the bank after selling some land, my wife had suggested i get a hobby, I had internet and my car was with a 350z specialist. What could possibly go wrong.
The bodykit was scheduled to be fitted but over the period of two weeks there were a few add ons.
To make matters worse Zedrush was modding his car at the same time so we may have started competing. OK, I lost.
Non GT car to start with.
The day after I collected it.
Car and bike magic in Sunderland fixed it, they are very good.
The Nismo spoiler that isnt supposed to fit.
I then had KW Var 3 coilovers fitted and had it lowered 30mm. This gives 9cms clearance with the kit so I have to be careful. I also killed the clutch at about 30k miles, The car was an ex demo so thats my excuse. I went for a lightweight replacement and was very happy with the result.
I then staed that I had done all the mods i was going to do.
Next was the engine bay and the lights.
I then found some wheels I loved.
CF bonnet.
New HiFi.
The greatest leveller for any roadster owner.
It was then time for new wheels ( RIP). Still the best ever IMO.
More engine bling.
I also had a set of new rear lights from Alex. I still think this was one of the best mods ever, a great price, mad the car safer and looked great.
One trashed wheel thanks to a large rock on the road and with two days before the Wales drive it wa time for new wheels again. I was very happy with the outcome though.
So I guess thats about it, I havent seen my car for a couple of months now apart from when i have a cuppa.
