Hi and welcome to the forum. I used mine as daily driver for 4 years and although they can be a bit thirsty the fun of driving it makes the cost worth it. Parts from Nissan can be expensive but the traders on here save us a fortune.

A lot of people have had it done ind it will last you a while until you decide what to fit. Its a weak joint so once its welded you will be fine.

Its a common fault and welding is a good fix. I wouldnt let him order a new one, the traders on here can get you one a lot cheaper. I would get it welded and then look at an aftermarket replacement.

Many of the meets are also joint with z club and you can get an appreciation of the massive heritage of the z marque.

The reason this weekend was instigated is basically that I spent nearly every weekend last year driving to car shows that all seemed to be 4 hours away. This one is 20 minutes away but is taking some organising. I am lucky that Derek who organises Zedfest has given me a model to follow. A difficult act to follow though.

I used mine as a daily driver including long commutes and had no problems. Its semi retired now though.

They really are great fun and who doesnt like to watch people drooling over you car if not literally.

Thats why we make them weekend events. You get to drive the car in a mini convoy and when you get there you have a great weekend with other owners. There are a few events like this over the year. If you fancy a more driving orientated weekend then Wales is great. Later there is Zedfest near Nottingham. We also have the regular shows like Japfest. Just attend one of the meets and you will be hooked. I used to get 20 cars in a service station in Essex.
