Slightly off topic but amusing.
The latest porsche gaff. They had one of the new models in today for a four wheel alignment. It has rear sensors, that auto cruise control that will monitor the car in front, lane sensors for motorway driving and indicators on the wing mirrors to et you know when you are being overtaken. So a lot of gadgets.
Parked in the bay for calibration.... the sensors go mad as the wall is too close. Turned around to calibrate.... the front sensors plug into a machine which align them with the rear of the car, the lift poles are in the way. Fail. No way to do the test.
The car can in theory drive around a car park and not be crashed. The one that tried it had a three foot calibration error so tried to stop three feet after hitting a wall.
