Okay Im not a bmw fan but I have secretly always liked M3's and just looking at the new 08 M3, there is one at a garage near me with 3k miles on it all black with red and black interior, my kinda style, and might be tempted to get it for a bit of fun for a year till I wait out getting my dream car, anyone know what they are like? Fun to drive or any known problems with em.
Cheers be open to any advice

I am sure zedrush could recommend a few "spas" with happy ending massages
u know me too well bro
-
Langham, has quite a nice spa and is a lovely hotel but there are better why not go to a nice hotel and go to a purpose spa place loads in London
-
I think the Veyron is a stunning car, absolutely amazing beast to achieve what it did on the track
-
thanks mr rush.
i have actually managed to get hold of someone else as well so watch this space
Ill let them come back to me with a quote (as they are a lot closer) first and if not ill phone envy.

Yeah.. i dunno, just felt like having one big one to kick the driver in the balls once it had spun up
see i think i would prefer a left then right hook to the face than being kicked square in the balls but then i guess thats just my preference.,
Zedrush, any thoughts on who might like to supply said brake items. envy dont seem to supply anything but endless (which look nice but cost 60% of a FI install) and ESR for obvious reasons arnt responding at the mo.
Give adam@z1 a call, he can get you stop tech, ive heard really really good stuff on these especially from people in the know like Tere

Happy Birthday Fudge Packer !!! Maybe youll start maturing, then again....

Yeah.. i dunno, just felt like having one big one to kick the driver in the balls once it had spun up
No.. you are right, i'd have TT.
And im not sure if the ESR brake kit is rebranded or not - its not on their website. pics are at http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=15912
Id get the AP Racing kit or Stoptech Single Turbos are cool though just for the fact its like a rollercoaster ride, going up a huge steep drop knowing whats coming then you get to that mid point then...... WHOOOOOOSH!!!! Pure orgasm
-
Just get some of these http://www.z-store.co.uk/index.cfm?fuse ... rentCat=39 and your sorted
damn it this is what I was after when I had mine a kit like this, i would of done it as well

This is beginning to sound very much like another one of Jay's mystery builds where everyone is kept in suspense until the great unveiling
lol nah no more Z's for me at least not for a while
-
Would love to have updates on this mate. I know with the Supra engine in the 350z one of the main problems was the electrical side. Luckily the 350z has ample of space availble for a variety of different engine options

Black mumba hahah you big queer!

Engine transplants? Better off getting FI!
I've siad all along when 5.5k FI has been mentioned that 10k MINIMUM will do it right.
I was also told to do it properly would be closer to 20k! I'm guessing this included a built motor though.
Still big bucks!
Agreed, if you are going to do it, do it properly!! Is my philosophy on most things!!! Anyway, when i win the lottery tonight, i'll shout you a built engine Stew
if you win the lotto I want my lambo you owe me
You told everyone what I am doing to my car so you get nothing!!
Stew, I do have tickets for tonight and just to clarify, a £10 win doesn't mean a built engine for you!
AH GOD DAMN IT !!!&^(^ G&@(@ &@_ @(*&Y STUPID MOTHA *)*HUHJ£&*Y(
Only thing I wish for is having the brains to do an engine conversion myself, life would be so much simpler
-
You were halfway there Jay!
I know all the cheaper stuff but 30k for a vvti lump installed let alone the rest on that list I was way off lol

Kinda steming from my other thread if money was no object what would your ultimate 350z be and what would you rename it as.... Even if you wanted to change the exterior...
Heres mine:
Kuro black 350z
Veilside wide arch kit no spoiler
Red Bride Seats retrimed in Italian leather
Hydrolic suspension
2JZ twin engine turbo lump later edition with VVTI
Audi R8 style headlights
Volk GTS wheels Diamond cut centre
Carbon everywhere
koenigsegg cc8s style door openers
Remote door openers
Remote Hydrolics
Stoptech brakes 6pot front 4 pot rear
KW VArient 3 springs
Fat music system
Aston Martin interior layout with italian leather
Platnum exhaust lol
Nos purge kit
Everything chrome and red under bonnet
Front windscreen becomes a seee through touchscreen computer with green digets telling how fast I am going and the kind of surface travelling on etc....That be awesome but Id probably crash the car lol
Make all this mods Ultra light so that the car weighs less than 500kg lol
Would call it ... The Black Mumba
I think for looks the car is at the top of my list, just change everything else lol
Thats all I can think of right now

All the lads on the MR2ROC spent loads of time fettling and checking their system.
the only unit that didn't require this was the TTE system as this was the only one authorised by toyota and covered under the same warranty.
Tell me about it
And we still had to modify the TTE kit due to the location of the coolant return pipe from the turbo as they'd put it in a really daft place, so even millions of pounds of R&D budget doesn't guarantee you'll get a 100% quality product in the end.
Given that I reckon you could do an LS3 swap for a solid 430bhp N/A and with that soundtrack for about £12K, that's certainly where my money will be heading in the future as you'd far more reliability over any FI option. Granted you'll have different teething issues, but still.
Whats the cheapest kind of engine swap could you do with a 350z to get more N/A hp and reliable, Im guessing a Nissan engine for ease with similar wiring.. but then and skyline engines are turbo not NA arnt they
RB26 has been done Theres a video of it on youtube somewhere. Its a bit quick
Damn didnt noah from the other site do one as well in the states
Wonder how much something like that costs and what problems may be encountered.

some good responses there Just thought was worth bringing up because people seem misguided (especially me) that if I go turbo I will be faster, if Im faster, I will be a better driver... So many people ask about turbos and other F.I, but how many are actually confident to drive it to an excess that demands it in a safe environment or would it be a waste of money. Seems a dangerous game to advertise come get your turbo kits fitted for 5.5k when really you need to uprate brake kits, and perhaps suspension in addition as well as ECU problems you could encounter. Just thought people should be aware that its not a simple thing of I want turbo, Ill ask and ill get and ill be able to drive like Hamilton, it really is for people who are experience drivers, hence why I didnt go down that path, that and price
Did Phil finnally hit you with the sanity stick? This doesnt sound like the Jay that used to bang on about going as fast as he can. All sounds advice non the less
rtbiscuit: spot on mate, I dont think many people realise how much you need to monitor and tinker to get it right in the first place. Once you have a sensible tune, I think you can pretty much leave it, but the nature of the beast is you always want more.
In real terms, becoming a better driver will make you faster. If you CBA with that then get an Evo! Has all the tricks and gismos to make you quicker without knowing what you're doing and can be easily tuned to silly speeds. Just dont expect any respect from me
Nope they just said for 5.5k I could have a turbo kit. Unfortunatly as rtbiscuit says its not just the turbo kit you have to think of. So think its a good idea any body thinking of going FI not to be caught out by the attractive price of 5.5k but think of all the other extra add ons you will have to think of when going down this route which you are not told off on face value.

Veilside Wide arch without rear spoiler, aligned wheels... one word...
original, nice one and congrats on the bravery on making tough decision,
J/K nice get more aggressive wheels though, maybe change colour to a more striking one to go with the striking kit imo, or change brake colour to lift off the wheels and arches, just my opinion though, but then what do I know

Wasnt there a post by TDi where they said they'd seen gains of only a few BHP? I seem to remember them eventually saying that they didnt think it was worth it. And also that the plenum is more useful for FI applications where it gets those bigger increases? I could be just imagining it, but I'm sure thats what they said.
I must of missed this if they did, but I just remember them turning around and saying that if you want to know they werent willing to fit one and we would have to pay out to get it fitted then pay for dyno and see for ourselves, which I didnt think was a good sales angle. If you are selling something and say it gives that kind of gains, then back it up with first hand experience and not wait for the consumer to find out if it does or doesnt imo
-
Faster car is probably better option, but a 350z is so hard to beat on looks imo especially at that price
+1 Would be easy to just go out and buy just another 4wd track slag but where is the fun in that? It's all about being individual and making the car you want. I can't see myself selling the Z anytime soon and FI would be a logical next step but I think I would personally get more out of the car by upgrading the brakes, coilovers first etc.
Hate doing this.. but I ha...a...a....a.v...e.. to...to....to...to... t t t to agree.. there I said it hate agreeing with Andy
Hmm new M3 convertable

Yeh I know but not as much as would of done on getting the aston. Just one of those days when Im getting bored of driving a jeep all day for work, want another vehicle as well might as well be a sports car again, know I said id wait for better times, but can stretch to 50k whilst holding out for the economy to get better, then go mad on a car
