No its a lilliput, they are so much cheaper and do the same thing, my friend has a skyline and has Xenarc, he paid 220 pounds for his and when he compared it the lilliput is actually brighter, only paid 72 for it

Hi mate the gps system is a brand called twig which works okayish still need a little work, I could have gone for route 88 which only runs on apple but its pretty crap so have to revert to the window section only problem is there is hardly anything that will run pro

perly onb it so for now will have to install xp again, but I might not bother as if needs be Ive still got my Tom Tom.

The program I use for my frontend other than teh typical menu screen is a software created by some geek called AMPS its for macs and is bloody good and is completely free I also used DisplayConfigx software which was about 7 quid to get my screen down to resolution 800 x 480.

Hi mate that is for everything including mini mac intel duo 100gb 1gbram 1.6 hrz hardware, comes complete with (multiregion dvd, itunes, imovie, airport, bluetooth,windows vista, satnave the whole works) 7" touchscreen lcd, adapters carnetix, software (most free frontend) Alpine headunit single cd player aux in (to handle the sound and to have radio) a second 350z middle dash incase I mess things up hacking away and installing screen into cubby, everything.

I will be posting mine up hopefully this monday of the 350z mac carputer setup I named project chaos although the set up has been done many times. I will show everything you will need where to buy from step by step pictures and links and outlay plan.

All within the buget of £410 in total. SO MUCH BETTER AND CHEAPER THAN BUY JUST A DVD PLAYER UNIT. You have itunes bluetooth internet dvd photoshop, sat nav, touchscreen able, didgi cam corder that records you driving or mini cam lense in the front grill that can be recorded rear parking cam, hands free kit, ipod docking station (install in ash tray compartment) voice activation the whole works. Keep your eyes posted to my post on monday.

sounds strange , no powder coating cant harm alloy wheels..

 

Looks like there may be corrosion underneath or worse evidence of a repair (filler ) any pics you can post

Yep looks like a bad corrosion problem underneath the coating, may get away with just having them sandblasted back to clean metal and then re-coated. Way up costs though, may work out cheaper just getting a new set of rims, some nice ones been bought by members on here for around the £400 mark

These rims were almost 2k when bought, If it cost me 400 pounds to fix then I will do it rather than buy new ones, you think might be too late?

Hi mate if you get RAC to check a private car, they warrenty it for 6months, they spend 2 hours checking the car out, they do their homework on it in a strict way. They check the level of paint on the car hidden joints incase been in accident, underneath car, they are really good probably even safer than buying from dealer and you get so much more for your money

 

Thats certainly tempting, and sounds very reassuring. I will keep an eye on autotrader and see what turns up. Just need to convince work to give me a pay rise Although quite strangely, it looks like a Zed may be cheaper to run than my Leon, damn it for having Audi parts!

If you join them I think first one is free, it works out at a 100 pounds a year full cover they will come out to whereever you are and tow you whereever you want if you break down or can fix on site. They have a special unit that is dedicated to 350z too. Also Im pretty sure they will check your first car for you, they did mine and promised me that if anything goes wrong they will cover, since it is more than their jobs worth to do a lazy inspection.

As for petrol, in comparison to an Audi 3,2 I had this car is so much better, from Edinborough to London cost me 70 quid which is pretty good as was chippen.

Okay, got 20" Zenetti wheels love em. Person who had em before me had them powder coated gunmetal grey. Only problem is that they are cracking really bad and it looks like a cement white hard powdery look underneath. Am worried as want to get them refurbed, repowdercoated and the lips polished, but think its too late? Does anyone know how much I should expect to pay to refurb wheels and repowder coat or is it too late, can powdercoated ruin wheels?

We're not going again - its just the red owners trying to catch up with us!!

Looks like I'm getting a test drive @ Dan Perkins, Slough on Wed, mainly as I work 100yrds from them! From there, who knows, other than I'll be wanting a Zed quicker, lol.

 

Whats the best way to get the best deal? Are Nissan Approved cars worth the extra money or is private quite safe? I'm usually told to go with a dealer to get a warrenty, but that would mean an older car with more mileage. I quite like the idea of an approved car as if anything is to go awry I have a fall back.

quick note to say that I now have internet on my car PC up and runnnig - in fact this is posted via it! Had to buy a different bluetooth adapter to get it running - the Belkin F8T012 is recommended for the purpose of car PC ! 8)

Hi and welcome mate, you should find one easy for that price range, just haggle haggle haggle with the people and always say you can pay immediatly. Thats what I did, and after I sold the spare wheels he gave me and other spare extras he gave me (which sold for a grand in total) I got this for 19k UK GT spec 17k miles bodykit full leather retrim 20inch wheels, lambo doors, big ice the lots. Just keep your eyes open dont take the first car that comes along and if buying private always get RAC to check it out for a 100 pounds for inspection you can save yourself a fortune in the longrun
