  1. Same here; alarm kept going off the other day. Finally found a fly inside the car was setting it off. Swatted the little b****r and all was well!
  2. Try removing the counter weight in the boot before buying new struts - my Nismo spoiler causes no problems with the counter weight removed and standard struts are fine.
  3. Scott, I've still got a complete set of original 18 inch GT Rays with Michelin Sport 2 tyres on in the garage (you may remember seeing them when you came round) if you are interested. They are in very good nick apart from a couple of kerb marks on the fronts. Come and have a look if you're interested?
  4. You can set the recirculation up to either manually provide fresh air (press the middle button until the left hand light is on) or recirculate air (press the middle button until the right hand light is on), or it can be set up to automatically adjust itself (press the middle button for a couple of seconds and then both lights flash twice and it enters automatic mode). Check page 3-3 in your manual. Maybe you've inadvertently set it to either manual or automatic without meaning to?
  5. Got mine as a 40th present to myself - now 43 At least my insurance is below £300
  6. Kids around here always have their camera phones out when I go past and I get the thumbs up every time
  7. It doesn't count as a track day at the ring on public days; it is a public road and German motor law applies and you have to have 3rd party insurance. Your insurance company will sue you for any claims made against them (in the majority of cases) as they have clauses against the Ring. It could get expensive if you cause damage to another vehicle/person due to loss of oil/coolant/bad driving etc. Make sure you read up thoroughly on it. Having said that, it is a brilliant trip and the circuit is great for the experience, just be very careful!
  8. Some good tunes there! I have: 1) Sonata Artica 2) AC/DC 3) Def Leppard 4) Leaves Eyes 5) Chickenfoot 6) Freedom Call What's the Chickenfoot album like? Can't decide if it's worth buying. (My changer is in the loft)
  9. Read about this the other day, could be worth checking out? http://www.pistonheads.com/news/default.asp?storyId=20312 That insurance sounds like a no brainer to me.. 100 a day for 8 laps sounds cool to, see it as a 12min session * 8. Wonder what the inspection would be like 35€ probably means 30min checkup. They would probably do a group deal too Did you read the discussion as well - seems like it's as much use as a chocolate radiator as far as third party cover is concerned, only covers armco damage.
  10. I drive from Lincoln to Brum every other Saturday and in three years I think I've seen two others. Rarity is a wonderful thing if you ask me.
  11. When I bought mine the guy had finance from Nissan on it - it came up on the HPI (he'd already said it would), but I rang back two days later and they confirmed the finance charge on the vehicle had been removed when he paid it off. It must be something that comes up all the time on second owner cars. I wouldn't be too worried about it.
  12. Likewise - maybe he just hasn't got round to it yet?
  13. Graphs are up on the other thread if you are interested.
  14. No, this was the first time it's been on a rolling road. As I said, the figures themselves are fairly meaningless to me (290 on a 276 car to start with looks a little optimistic), but it's the difference driving it that matters - and it is a LOT better. I don't subscribe to the "I've got to have 300 bhp" line - it's how the car responds that matters more. Chris'I, which thread should I post the graphs in?
  15. UK car - 2003 GT with about 52,000 miles on the clock.
  16. Plenum spacer and exhaust - that's it. Totally standard engine wise apart from those.
  17. I take it my offer of help wasn't needed after all....
  18. Figures themselves aren't really that important to me (gained about 10 BHP at the wheels and fly and an extra 10-15 FtLb Torque), but it's the way it responds that impresses. I feel confident overtaking now in places I wouldn't have risked before - just so much more urgent. Mine was apparently showing 290.7 at the fly before the tuning and was a nice straight line which Paul was impressed with (reckons the plenum spacer was doing a v good job and the engine is obviously in good nick for an 03 276 bhp car) and now it tops out at 301.3 with torque up to about 269 from approx 257. The throttle response is much crisper and it pulls so well now in 6th at any speed which it never did before. The drive back from Leeds had me grinning more than usual! Also, speed now limited to 217 mph (!) and redline raised to 6800 rpm (not that I need either of those, but good for impressing people in the pub!)
  19. To bring this topic back to the fore... Get yourselves to RS Tuning - it's well worth a visit! You WILL notice the difference afterwards
  20. I've no washers on my V1 and it's never been a problem come MOT time (plus you don't spray your nice clean bonnet everytime you wash the windscreen )
  21. Possibly the feed to the aerial amplifier?
  22. I'm pretty flexible on days (I work from home anyway) apart from Saturdays (footie season starts in two weeks) so can't make August 1st or 8th or 15th etc, but apart from that I'm around. Let me know what suits you?
  23. I could give you a hand and we could do them ourselves - I've changed mine numerous times and it's not that hard. Let me know. I'm north of Lincoln (near Caenby Corner) and we could do them at mine one afternoon.
