  1. Something similar posted recently viewtopic.php?f=61&t=31497
  2. I thought these had sold a while back Are they still available then?
  3. That lump slides away to allow the module to slip in and then the lump slides back to lock it in place (I think).
  4. It really isn't difficult to do yourself and should only take about 40 minutes for all four wheels Longest bit is jacking up and removing the road wheels.
  5. Piccy of mine: 1:10 scale (and remote controlled as well!) Not really a die-cast, more of a toy; good Xmas pressie though
  6. Cradle is easy enough to remove (just unplug the connectors underneath the removable floor in the cubby box.
  7. I run my rears (Falken 452 on the Nismo 19 inch wheels) at about 32-33 psi, as at 35 psi I notice a lot more wear in the centre tread. Shire will back me up on that - he had the same problem I think.
  8. I've got a nice warm, cozy feeling after reading this thread. This place sure is a nice place to be! Top work Nixy
  9. ...recommendations from my sis: "well Le Manoir obviously very good food and location all round. If rich, they can stay there too! Other Michelin starred places (around general area of Oxford but not in Oxford itself): The Nut Tree, Murcott The Goose Restaurant, Britwell Salome Charles Napier, Chinnor (hard to find!) Vanilla Pod, Marlow (not been for ages) Hand and Flowers, Marlow (not tested) In Oxford: Brown's is quite traditional to Oxford but just a good brasserie really Gee's restaurant, Banbury Road Malmaison quite good, again good brasserie but good building/hotel cos old prison (the one Porridge and original Italian Job filmed in!)" Hope that helps
  10. +1 on Le Manoir - well worth the visit (but take a few credit cards rather than just one). I'll get some more ideas off my sis as she eats out regularly around Oxford for special occasions...
  11. When I had my bumper, skirts and spoiler painted in Blade the bodyshop I used said they'd need my car to match the colour accurately as there were "various shades of Nissan KYO paint around". Much better to get them to match it to your car rather than to a swatch chart. Once they've mixed a batch up and tested it they can keep that as reference for any future work on your car.
  12. According to the service schedule for the 350z there is no need to change the diff oil at all (although people still do as a "belt and braces" approach). As I keep repeating, there is no additional servicing done for a P3 than is done at a P2. Brake fluid, coolant, plugs and air bag inspection are "additional service items at additional cost" that are time dependent every 2 years for brakes and 3 years for coolant and 5 years for plugs and 10 years for the air bag system - these items are not covered under the standard servicing (unless you can do a deal with your garage). Check page 19 of your service book. I still don't know why garages charge more for a P3 than a P2 - they are ripping us off!!!!! Having said all that, my dealer did change my brake fluid as part of my P2 and didn't charge me extra, but they are very nice people at Crystal's Nissan in Lincoln
  13. Plugs are not part of a P3 service but i think the diff oil is. Diff oil won't be changed as standard during a P3 on the Zed; it's the viscous type coupling and the service manual states that this doesn't need doing. Again, I have to repeat, there is no difference between a P2 and a P3! All extras such as coolant change, brake fluid change, plugs etc are separate items and will be charged for over and above the prices quoted (unless you do a deal with the dealer or the dealer doesn't use the standard procedures listed in the service schedule).
  14. I'd still like to know why people think paying 40 quid more for a P3 over a P2 makes sense? Can anyone point out to me the differences between a P3 and a P2 and why garages charge the extra
  15. My list in rough order (because I can't remember at my age) Renault 18 GTS (first car) Mini metro 1.0 (basically three road signs welded together by the time it died) Opel Manta (in a fetching cat crap colour) Rover 2600 SD1 (basically four road signs welded together by the time it died) [plus various other poo boxes over the years] Jaguar XJS V12 (only for four months - it averaged 9.7 mpg!!!!) Rover 827 (a bit like being the mayor of somewhere @*!#) Peugeot 406 V6 coupe (much better car than I expected) Vauxhall Corsa 1.7 diesel (first turbo car owned - feel the power at 54 bhp, but I was desperate at the time) Overlapping with many of the above, my favourite: Rover SD1 Vitesse (3.9 litre V8 tuned beast - absolutely awesome car and the best fun I've ever had out of bed) Current cars: Nissan X-Trail 2.2 DCi Sport (second turbo car ever and much better than the first) Blade 350z (best looking car ever - but I do miss the V8 noise and speed from the Vitesse!)
  16. Doesn't one fan run constantly if the air-con is on? Pretty sure mine does
  17. Have you checked you've definitely got a good earth by using a multi-meter? Just because it's attached to metal doesn't necessarily mean it's grounded? Other than checking all your connections with a multi-meter (live, ignition and earth) I'm stumped I'm afraid
