  1. I always use Shell V-Power in my car, I have never used any other fuel. Yes, I've heard a few people mention their car runs rough when they use cheaper fuel. The previous owner did switch between cheaper fuel to V-power though... It is a good point though As it disappears when the A/C is triggered, could it be related to the car idling at a too low rev? What rev is it meant to idle at? The car runs perfectly smooth with the A/C switched on. It's always worth leaving the air-con on full-time as it does help the idle.
  2. Yep for both (saw them at Sheffield last monday) - as good as ever. (Though they do look old these days )
  3. Welcome to the forum Steve The pod gauge on the right changes display when you press the silver button to the top left of the instrument cluster. All in the manual.
  4. Sounds like an answer to the caption competition
  5. Cheers, second one is the better one although there are some great exhaust notes on the first one
  6. Yep, back home safe and sound Left Moreton at 4.45 am and back home by 7.40 am ready for a day's work No trolley jack in the car, but fortunately ChrisS lives only a few miles from the breakdown point. Huge thanks to Chris and Bruce for helping out (in fact doing most of it). Fix seems fine, so I might leave it as a unique mod
  7. No piccies, but a couple of vids for you Heading out for lunch on the Sunday morning On the Evo Triangle, Sunday afternoon
  8. I got rid of my iPhone 3G last month as I too thought it was painfully slow (and it wasn't jail broken). Changed to the HTC Desire S and I have to say I'm impressed with it. Extremely quick, especially on the web. Not as much android stuff as there is for the iPhone, but most of the iPhone stuff I downloaded I never used anyway. Battery life isn't great (better than the iPhone, but still needs charging almost every day if you use the Bluetooth and WiFi a lot), but all smart phones are like that to be honest. E-mail and internet access is brilliant. Video is nice as well. Music isn't in the same league as the iPhone, but I have an iPod anyway. All in all, it performs very well. Worth a look.
  9. I've averaged 26.6 mpg over the last 30,000 miles (including a trip to the 'Ring) Consumption is not as bad as people think (unless you drive it like you stole it everywhere).
  10. From the service book it looks like it's only had 4 services over 7 years, so not a full service history as stated. Also, cheaper car tax is not because it's a non-GT (just age-related). Price seems reasonable, but I'd still look at members cars on here as your first option.
  11. No, mine's an 04 as well. The scangauge has quite a good trip computer built into it - you set the fuel tank size and then press a couple of buttons every time you fill up and it calculates over a few fill-ups what the inaccuracy of the car's computer is and adjusts automatically. It reckons the car computer is about 30% incorrect. I have the DTE reading on the scangauge as one of the parameters on show and I know how much I have left (either in miles to go, or litres left). Much better than the car display (which I have on mph anyway as I can't read the speedo easily when driving). Only thing that annoys me is the car display still flashes "DTE - 40 miles" when I've got over 200 miles left and you can't turn the thing off permanently.
  12. Was 42 when I got the Nismo (now 45 ) Best exhaust out there (despite what some people say ) and have had no issues with it in three years. Nice deep sound but not overbearing on long journeys.
  13. Mine's that inaccurate I bought a scangauge to use the trip function. Reads empty and DTE shows --- when I've still got at least a quarter of a tank left. If I only trusted the fuel gauge I'd be filling up after 250 miles, when I can easily get 350-400 out of a tankful. If you boot the car it drops like a stone, and climbs back slowly if you go steady.
  14. Just a thought, can we make James wait for an hour for his salmon again
  15. Just buy a four-way spreader with switched outputs and then you don't need to cut plugs off
  16. Best one I had was in Tesco's car park - bloke looked at the Z badge at the front, walked round and looked at the Z badge at the back and said "Is that a Zonda?" - I wish...........
  17. Mark, I've split the questions into this thread - hope that helps.
  18. Mark, thread split and a new thread for questions in your forum here viewtopic.php?f=114&t=49315
  19. Phone number removed from ad - don't really want that on a public forum else you're get all sorts of weirdos ringing you
  20. I've used the Ultimate compound on cars with soft paint (Nissan and Mazda) without any problems. As long as it's with a DA polisher rather than an orbital you can't go far wrong
  21. You're more than welcome Jay - good to meet you. I take it the sensor problem has been sorted now?
  22. Took me quite a few goes as well - glad it's all sorted
