  1. Oh I'd give my right arm to have my clicky axle back. I took my Zed in to have the clickyness repaired and when it came back the clicking had gone and in it's place I had a lovely on/off squeaking whenever I applied the brakes!!
  2. Thank you to SunsetZ for sending me replacement numbers. What a star.
  3. Sorry, hadn't realised the forum I'd originally posted this in. Just to follow up, I phoned the police station the next day and asked if there was an accident reported. I told them although we didn't witness the actual accident we saw the aftermath. They weren't really bothered I didn't stop but they did really want me to be able to identify the driver, because when I asked if anyone had been injured they said not likely as he'd done a runner and they weren't able to identify the driver as there were no other witnesses (no idea what happened with the taxi driver).
  4. I've posted this on another forum so I'll just paste verbatim from there: As I say, if no one else would have been around I'd have stopped but luckily there was another witness. I couldn't have offered any help, I'm sure the taxi driver would have phoned police / ambulance. At the time in the morning my first assumption was the guy was drunk in which case I really didn't give a toss.
  5. totally debadge it like a few have done on here , Cheaper option I'm considering it. I can't help but feel the badges are priced at what they are because they're an easily nickable item and manufacturers (or whoever sets the price of them) know people will want to replace them. Let's face it, they probably cost about 20pence to make and it certainly can't be argued they're value for money. Of course, now I wonder if some other owner has had their '3' nicked and seeing the cost of a replacement badge decided to just go rip one off someone elses Zed.
  6. I don't understand why they have to come from the USA, it's not as if the car is an import is it? You'd think being a UK car the badge would be readily available just as any other part. I get the feeling Nissan put a huge markup on the things because they know they're an easily nickable part.
  7. THIRTY ****ing QUID!?!?!?!?! Jesus H Christ... thirty quid... for a little badge!?!
  8. Crap, just remember the old dear is off work for two weeks, guess I'll have to do it myself. It's a pity these little twats aren't caught in the act, although probably for the best as I'd kick the life out of them.
  9. Someone just nicked the '3' from my 350z badge on the rear It's been keyed down one side as well There's also a small dent / scratch in the side just under one of the brake lights, that just looks like a small kid fell into it with their bike handlebars though
  10. Nothing on Ebay. Mum works at a stealership, she's going to find out how much a new one is
  11. Some scrote of society has prised the '3' from the rear of my car. I'm currently the proud owner of a Nissan 50z. They've obviously used a key as well due to the nice 3-4mm long scratch mark that accompanies the missing number. What the hell is wrong with this bloody country? What's the point? What they hell they going to do with it? ****ing idiots. So how much will a new badge cost? As it's Nissan I assume stupid money?
  12. There's a bit of a surprise, I'd have thought they'd be charging at least £100
  13. Azure Roadster near Lancaster yesterday around lunchtime, roof down, young looking guy with baseball cap. Think he waved at me but wasn't sure as mate was rambling on. Gave him a nod anyway (I was the Blade with the Nismo ). Anyone from here?
  14. http://www.contracthireandleasing.com/cars/Nissan/350Z/ Second offer:
  15. You can lease a new one for 18 months at £369 a month, dunno how this compares to your figures.
  16. Where's the OP with his source for cheap Nismos!!!
  17. £850 with duty? And shipping? or have you omitted the shipping cost?
  18. I always found it odd the mirror switch had the middle setting that did nothing. Always seemed to me that would be the 'Auto' setting (left for closed, right for open, middle for auto).
  19. Just want to say thanks to Adam at Z1 for the Nismo exhuast, tax and duty was far cheaper than I was expecting and can't believe how quick it came considering the size of it!! You could hide people in that box!! and thanks to Phil for the other parts I needed, everything top notch as usual Now, sod's law, my mechanic is on holiday until Monday!
  20. No, I'd have just waited till it ended with 0 bids and bought it. Why did you wait so long before you bid? Same reason as me probably not wanting to attract attention to it? Soon as someone sees someone is interested in it you get into a stupid bidding war. I see you kept pretty quiet about it until I posted on here, so you were obviously watching this thread
  21. Cheers, will give it a go when it's not lashing it down!
  22. There are issues with opening and closing the door though. Mainly the window drops when opened but when you close the door it fails to go back up. Leaves a nice gap for the rain to get in. Have you tried the reset procedure ?? that may cure that problem Have you tried cleaning your motor, maybe that'll cure yours? What's the reset? Doesn't that involve pulling the door trim apart?
