  1. Does anyone know where I can buy this but cheaper as I think it's quite expensive and I would have to ship from the states. http://www.courtesyparts.com/Merchant2/ ... 9127-JD35M
  2. Right lads I'm going to buy new rear tyres tomorrow. I've decided between Proxies T1-R's and Falken 452's both 245/45/17 Which should I buy as they are similar in price?
  3. I had Kumho Ecsta K11's (235/50/17) put on the back and they are terrible!!! I currently have on the front 225/50/17 (Don't remember the brand). I was looking to fit either Toyo Proxies or Falken 452's of the same size as a replacement for the rear tyres. But neither firm make them in 50 profiles, they only make them in 45 profile. So I want to know if it is safe to have either Proxies or Falken 452's 245/45/17 on th erear and 225/50/17 on th efront? I'm sure I read somewhere that this would cause problems but I can't find the post now.
  4. I don't understand why my post was edited!!! Bump does anyone know the answer to this?
  5. Am I right in thinking the tyre profile must be the same front and rear?

    Toyo Tyres

what's the difference between toyo proxes tyres the T1-R and The T1-S?
  9. To re ask a previous question has anyon etried the Falken ZE512's and are they any good?
  10. I got an email today. The guy was full of apologies. He's offered to replace the tyres at no extra cost and give me a free service. Good news but I'm still reluctant to have them touch my car again too be honest.
  11. The shoelace method is where you get a long piece of rubber and jam it in the hole with glue using a sort of knitting needle type thing! I don't know the proper term but thats what the guy at the garage told me. He also changed the tyres over for me.
  12. Thanks for your help guys:)
  13. Took my 350z in to a garage today to get a puncture fixed and they told me the rear tyres had been put the wrong way round! As you know they are meant to be put on in a certain direction but they were both the wrong way round. Now I would have gotten no grip at all from the rear tyres and it's surprising I wasn't involved in an accident. A previous puncture was also repaired on the car using the rubber shoelace method which I'm told is illegal! maybe someone can elaborate on this. I've had the car since just before Xmas so I've been driving around like that without my knowledge. To make matters worse the garage whom I brought it from also never tightened the seat bolts to the floor and I only noticed this about a fortnight after buying it. The guy who fixed my puncture said because they were round the wrong way possibly may have caused the tyres to wear out quicker! Is there any truth in this? As you can imagine I'm furious at this. I haven't contacted the garage where I bought it from as I wanted some advice before I go off half cocked. Is there any recourse I can take towards this garage, like claiming new tyres etc? Personally I'd like to take the swine to court.
  14. Hi I'm a bit of a noob to the site and I have a few questions to ask. 1. Is there anywhere I can download a workshop manual? 2. I had some registration plates made but they are not a good fit at the rear (import 350z). Is there anywhere in the scotland area that I can get these made up properly without having to saw off the sides? 3. My car's an import. I have the service book but its in Japanese and kilometers. Can I get a replacement in English from Nissan? 4. What does JDM and OEM mean? Thanks for any replies

    restrictor

I have access to a racing track. How do I remove the restrictor on my Jap import 350z? It goes up to 120mph but then just hangs! I'm told it's extremely easy to remove. Any ideas?

  18. Hi I'm seriously thinking of buying a fairlady from a dealer in Edinburgh. I fell in love with this car when I saw it on the internet. I've heard a lot of conflicting stories about imports being hard to get parts etc. Is there anyone that could give me some advice please? I would post the link to the car but don't know if i would be allowed or not?
