  8. Depends what you are after... How many sport cars in competitions have you seen that are roadsters...? Monaco, Nice, Marbella, California, etc Convertible rules... or in the UK if you have the personality to carry it off... I have a coupe and intend to trint the windows.... hide... The "Cabriolet" looks distinctively off-proportioned with the hood up, however you do get a lot less road noise in the cabin, so if you are a bit fussy about road noise like me, you'll not end up weekends figuring out whick holes to plug in the boot area of your coupe, to reduce the noise. And most importantly, you can fit TWO, yes TWO golf bags in the back in the coupe... allegedly, though I don't know how to do it as I sold my sticker... The "cabriolet" only manages one ( kids portion size...me thinks)
  9. funnily enough I have got one, but i got lazy... serves me right I guess...
  10. you can get open office for MAC software, yes!.
  11. I have just come back from the gim... and on my run back home I have a nice stretch of "autobahn" like dual carriage way... Anyway I got up to "cruising"speed...and proceeded along nicely until a Mr. Atric , yes GERI-effin-ATRIC decided to to lane change at 30mph at what felt like 5 meters in front of me... (I shoudl have known as there was a truck half a mile ahead...) Emergency stop ! on the anchors as hard as I could , and nearly swiped him...ack seat trim and hit the "6" CD button and Anyway during my rr ending avoidance action... one of my shoes which was loosely left in the back, flew forward, bounced of the back of the seat trim, pressed number 6 button and hit the shift lever and nudged it out to neutral... completely freak incident, but completely un-impressed with Nissan allowing this situation to happen, surely someone must have considered the potential... has anyone else suffered anything like this? I am now thinking that tonneau cover might actually be a requirements rather than a "nice to have"...

  19. ESP is purely a driver aid... not a fundamental requirement for the integrity of the drive performance. as such it is irrelevant if it was on or off... the only question would have been was he been reckless, and as the police attended the scene and moved on, I am guessingn this was not the case... so ESP on of off is irrelevant... Sorry to see a gorgeous red one go...ans NISMO !
  20. Nisan press release with a lot of detail on the new zed... Nissan will also be showing the new, updated 350Z which will reinforce its credentials as a pure sports car with thrilling, involving performance. With the fitment of the next generation 3.5 V6 engine - engine code VQ35HR - power has risen to 313PS (230kW) at 6800rpm and torque is now rated at 358Nm at 4800rpm, while the maximum engine speed has increased by 500rpm to 7500rpm. Nearly 80% of major engine parts are new, providing improved acceleration and responsiveness. To achieve the additional performance, a dual intake system has been fitted and the variable valve timing system has a wider range of operation, plus the addition of a common length exhaust manifold reduces back pressure. Those changes combine to boost low and mid-range torque. In order to achieve the higher rev limit, the crank journal and crank pin have increased in size. At the bottom of the engine, a ladder frame has been added to stiffen the crank and reduce vibration. The introduction of a second knock sensor, an asymmetric piston pattern, improved cylinder cooling and iridium spark plugs will combine to improve the efficiency of the ignition cycle, while an increase in compression ratio from 10.3 to 10.6 has liberated more top end power. Despite all these changes, weight and fuel consumption remain unchanged, but the engine's centre of gravity has been lowered by 15mm. To accommodate the new engine the front bonnet has been discreetly redesigned and is now reminiscent of the original 240Z, thanks to a slightly raised profile, while three new exterior colours will also be offered. Temper Orange is a striking shade but also contains a subtle green "flip" which can be seen in soft light and gives the car a surprising tone, while a new grey - Precision Grey - and Night Blue complete the colour line-up. Inside, a new trim has also been introduced, which is called Frost Grey. It is a pale tone and adds a touch of sophistication to the car's interior. As well as a new interior trim colour, another important change to the interior is the fitment of Active Headrests, to minimize the chances of neck injury in the event of a rear impact. And to improve on-road refinement, the 350Z is now equipped with Bridgestone Potenza RE050A tyres, however grip levels remain unaffected. Sales of the newly revised 350Z will begin across Europe in the spring. NO MONEY!!!!!!!!!
  21. how about something unique , different but still keeping the 350z links... a skyline sedan GT (G35) grey import with the VQ35 engine and an auto... the same powertrain, basically, so the nissan dealers should be able to sort out engine problems...no excuse... nice grey import ...
