  6. maybe not to everyone's taste, but the idea of reducing a good 15-20kg must be worth ... plus the cool factor? , and no problem about holding the tailgate in the up position.... go to http://www.strosek.de for more images.... what do you think...

    I N D I V I D U A L I T Y . . . styling is a matter of individuality, mock it up on some pictures, and decide if you like it... then go for it, or scrap it...
  13. I managed to get Adrian Flux to give me a sub-900 quote for my renewal...which i was happy about as I have a couple minor indiscretions and one considered by the insurances as a major indiscretion... The thing is ... I am just thinking about the idea of insuring my car in another EU country (e.g.Spain, or other cheap country) and declare it as used abroad regularly (i.e. nearly 100% of the time...) , and seeing if I can get a lot cheaper insurance... I heard this could be done... I am doing this because I HATE uk insurers...
  14. Asahi SuperDry...or Kirin Ichiban Probably not the normal thing to say, but apart from Cars, Japan make some of the best Lagers in the world...Ice cold...
  15. most annoying thing I have to deal with day in, day out, gettgin in and out of the car in car parks... because of the length of the door and paranoid attitude to touching any walls, cars etc... and interior plastics scratching simply by waving anything at them... unbelievable...
  16. to be honest ... give it a chance ... I think with a tweed seat trim it would look quite "quaint"... now...where's my barbour jacket and flat cap...
  17. That uses a thing common sense... I think you'll find legal organisations don't like to let you to use common sense, as it reduces their roles...don't think... it scares themmm...

  19. found some imformative website about the general function of each system, enjoy... http://www.edmunds.com/advice/specialre ... ticle.html
  20. a minefield of acronyms, why does every manufacturer have to make their own special name for essentially the same systems... Antilock Braking Systems Traction Control Systems Active Yaw Control Systems ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) ASC (Automatic Stability Control) RWAL ASR Active Handling (Rear Wheel Anti-lock) (Automatic Stability Regulation) SCS Brake Only Traction Active Safety (Stop Control System) ETS (Enhanced Traction System) Advance Traction TCS (Traction Control System) ASMS (Automotive Stability Management System) TCB (Traction with Brake Int.) ATTS CBC (Cornering Brake Control) DSC (Dynamic Stability Control) DTSC (Dynamic Stability and Traction Control) ESP (Electronic Stability Program) ICCS (Integrated Chassis ControlSystem) IVD (Integrated Vehicle Dynamics) PCS (Precision Control System) PSM SCS (Stability Control System) StabiliTrac Traxxar VDC (Vehicle Dynamics Control) VSA (Vehicle Stability Assist) VSC (Vehicle Stability Control) YCS (Yaw Control Stability)
  21. agree! I have given up trying to get economy out of this car...
  22. I never keep originals in the car , I burn CD mixes from my collection , and try to theme them... (Calm stuf, rock, road rage mode, clubby stuff, and "out of my comfort zone stuff...") so I try and have as many artists as I can in my car (ranging from velvet revolver, kid rock, jay-z, girls, norah jones, direstraits, matt monro, guano apes (spanish), killer barbies (spanish) etc... ) but currently I am going through a list of "suggestions" made from a thread I started http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic ... highlight= Working my way through all the suggestions... but Started with The Minel suggestions for "road rage" kind of music... which at the moment is just within my comfort zone, so some will be going into my Cd collection ( I'll buy the albums, I don't like to get one song only).... ir_fuel suggestion for road rage music... well...and I am discovering that I don't suffer from "road rage" I think i am more of a "road -lightly miffed" kind guy , if this is what you drive to.... ( Megadeath... Hellsing...)
  23. but then again tesco don't make their own petrol do they? They buy it from the main petrol companies... so if they are getting dodgy fuel , who's selling it to them? I am sure Tescos are going to be very careful to not damage their image in this market as they are the underdogs... however MAYBE the major petrol companies (that sell the petrol to TESCOS) are feeling the pinch from lost sales ... specially the expensive stuff ULTIMATE, EXCELLIUM, etc. etc. etc, ... or maybe I've seen to many conspiracy theory films ...
  24. ESP/VDC gimmick... if you are an excellent driver maybe... if you are a normal driver it could be a lifesaver... and I do say it could be... not 100% but I would always prefer to increase my chances ... I know this clip is on snow but it shows much more clearly how gimmicky ESP/VDC/VSC etc is... TCS I think is shown clearly in the test trying to go up a 10% slope and preventing wheel spin... But If my undestanding is correct, TCS will not get you out of the slalom test which is shown around 5minutes into the clip...to get that level of control I think you need ESP/VDC/VSC whatever it is called...
