Michelin Pilot Sports, (not the PS2) but again depends on what is important for you lateral grip, straight line feel, road noise etc... the MPS are good for a significant increase in wet cornering performance, but they are not the quietest on motorway... or the most durable, from what i have heard... but , http://www.tyretest.com/pkw_sommerreifen/index.html and many people here will say toyos are best...

slightly off topic , but related....and might be of interest to some... I will be travelling saturday , and I had a look in internet, and Oulton Park is 12 miles away from the Meeting point! and on the 14th they have BRSCC Club Car Championships @ £10.00 Oulton Park Saturday 14 April 2007 including BRSCC Alfashop Alfa Romeo Championship BRSCC LMA Euro Saloons Club F3 BRSCC Club Formula Ford NW Championship 1 BRSCC Club Formula Ford NW Championship 2 Porsche Open Championship Porsche Club Championship BARC NW Sports Saloons Championship so maybe some very interesting cars to be seen . http://www.motorsportvision.co.uk/oulto ... uctID=2862 I am going to try and make it, as spectator of course... I think it could be pretty cool to see... then stay the night somewhere near there... Anyway just info for people if they want to make a full weekend out of it...

I quite like red but your sales person will be thinking resales based on past history... They always say silver, grey and dark metallics are the ones for best re-sale... but i think this applied mainly to run-of-the-mill vehicles. I think traders used to be weary of reds etc... because red cars used to be prone to paint fade ( I think the pigments used were not so strong), and also this colour alongside white where regularly applied without a top coat (lacquer) so these tend to degrade quicker, due to UV attack. But I think that the red applied in the zed is kind of shiny nearly metallic, , which could indicate some artificial ingredients... to make it more durable...and I think this particular red has a top coat ( transparent lacquer) applied. Best Way to check is to ask a Nissan Approved bodyshop, about the paint spec for red... and specifically ask if they apply a top coat ( transparent lacquer), or if it is only the base coat applied. If they apply a top coat, go for it... I know the latest Nissan Micra Red is a metallic red, and they canned the old type red...( I asked a while back...)

you wanted a re-spray to be a bit different? white is available on the zed world... lambo green isn't ... or only if someone has privately done it... but my guess in UK you will be unique... and it looks cool....

It is all about the image you want to project cool and class... do you see custard armani suits? or hugo boss electric blue suits? when was the last time you saw a electric blue suit? granted you see "nice" versace red dresses... if you like wearing red dresses... maybe even a custard suit...if you like that kind of thing... so what is it going to be ? or GM rules KURO not so bad.... bring it on...

does anyone have this logo, with no background, in a bigger picture format? (higher pixels or kB or whatever it is measured on... ) I have a cunning plan...

Bridgestones are not bad tyres, lets be honest... I'll jump in their defence (but remember I bought the Michelin pilot sports for UK driving...) the problem with BS is that they are designed for a very specific condition which is not suitable for UK/Euro driving styles... If you have a smooth, dry track, you can put some heat intothe tyres and you like a bit of "oversteer", then bridgestones are the ones for you. Uk is rough, wet cold and too much oversteering in bumpy A roads is not ideal ( unless you are the stig... or someone of a similar skill...)

Definetely you have got a DVD player, ( note on the pic above, the DVD disc which is not nissan...) with a bit of luck is multiregion PAL/NTSC etc... but in my experience of Japan they never have units with Non-Japanese Text...

for what is worth... black will keep cleaner and look better with time... and probably be more sale-able... but the alezan interior...has a bit of show off, and for me, and this is the sadest thing probably....this is what sells it to me... In the winter time, when it is dark and gloomy and horrible... i find that when I "plip" the car open and the interior, the cabin light illuminates the alezan interior... it is like a ray of sunshine and happiness... in a dark and gloomy world... very inviting... I am pretty sure if you don't have alezan interior you'll not understand what I am trying to explain....

Actually if you are really thinking about it... it could be worth trying to buy "letanks" trim seats cheaply (he put a post up a week or so ago) , and get them retrimmed while you wait for yours to arrive. Then remove the Japanese ones and sell them on ebay... and recover the cost from buying them from "letank". ( you could even sell yours for more money if they are in "brand new" condition.. which probably will. You'll have them ready for when the car arrives and you'll be ready to roll.!

how about : -heated seats... in some specs... -electric seats (on all specs?) -all the trip computer items mentioned above -rpm light ( adjustable to whatever rpm you want it to) -in some Jap specs : auto window up/down on passenger side folding door mirrors when key-off ignition ( Not sure where it is fitted ...) passenger side door mirror tilt down when selecting reverse ( again maybe some specs,.) -UK spec come with phone kit pre-wired and can get a bluetooth dongle that talks to you and you can talk to ... when you are lonely ... but she's not very communicative ... ( only says a few words... ) -cruise control? ( UK 100% some specs.) -sunglass holder ( very micra-ish in looks and function...) -cupholder ( very "Lada" in operation and feel) -bose "oompaloompa" speaker behind the driver seat...called a "sub-poodle" or something like that...

ta.. found it on one of my google hunts... unfortunately it was a little too big ... so i found a smaller signature pic to go with... It is a shame it was kuro, GM would have looked even better... right click on the pic and you should find properties and my photobucket where i am planning on keeping any "nice finds"...

xtrail navi could be very similar, they came out around the same time, so maybe the system is very similar, find yourself an xtrail scrapper with navi fitted... perhaps even a pathfinder...

xtrail stubby fits nicely... however, it is ok on presets for my area, but as soon as I go out of range and it tries to retune, i have lost radio 1 in some cases, for example... and it finds it difficult sometimes to retune... ( I found this out on my run to King's Lynn this weekend ... it's got something to do with the amplifier circuit in the base, which is designed for that length aerial, fitting a smaller one requires larger signal amplifier thjingybob... but not a great problem... considering the factor...
