  1. Just back from a 5 day Irish tour, 1600 miles door to door, We knackared but throughly enjoyed it! Overall rating - FANTASTIC Irish Scenery - AWESOME Irish People and Food - GREAT Irish Roads - Sheeet! ( next time I am doing it Now back with 34800 miles so it is going in for the P3 service, getting it ready for the welsh run...we'll see how much,it costs me.... I might even clean it for the run... ok ... some pics with some irish in the background ... ( it was closed on good friday! ) ( we covered most of the coast...) mountain roads, uncluttered... Blessed by good weather... fantastic sunsets...
  2. I am pretty sure nissan will not do a solid colour paint (with no lacquer) unnless it is a white from a micra, not the 350z pearlescent . lacquer for all z colours defo'.
  3. This is crazy! I am pretty sure there is a European Country where, if the police find you have a headlamp bulb blown they expect you to have a replacement bulb and be able to replace it... there and then... imagine being stuck in the middle of the night , rainy and being asked by a copper to replace the bulb or have the car towed away... from what in gather on the Zed you cannot really do this without removing wheel arch protectors!!! WTF... or removing the headlamp... WTF stooopid
  4. Cool TRIP LeTank... one is quite envious but remember... so get those pics up as soon as you come back. I'm off to Ireland Myself, so we can exchange tips in WALES. Have a good one!
  5. going back to the original topic... I found the following information (www.nissanpress.co.uk) seems quite comprehensive. technical spec in pdf format http://www.nissanpress.co.uk/nissan/pre ... chspec.pdf marketing blurb...and pretty photos... http://www.nissanpress.co.uk/nissan/pre ... Z_pack.htm for general 350Z stuff and official information http://www.nissanpress.co.uk/nissan/index.html
  6. have any of you tried to fit them... I finally got them fitted... (no pics, maybe later tonight...) but you cannot access the indicator socket unless you have 3 year old japanese fingers (with adult strength!) . Unless you remove the full lamp....! I ended up cutting up a plastic tab on top of the lamp ( you'll know what i mean if you have done it, or will know what I mean when you try...) with a stanley knife which I think intends on stopping you fitting them yourself, (the manual specifically tells you not to play with the headlamps due to the ballast units on HID)
  7. Have you heard of Mercedes Benz World? It is is in the old brooklands race course and museum... Fantastic day out, free to enter the showroom/museum... and they have a custom made test track to test any model you are interested and they do driving experiences... even for kids with no licence! They have a wet handling ring where you can drift an AMG E-Class Merc.. have a look ... and not too expensive... http://www2.mercedes-benz.co.uk/content ... ml#mainnav
  8. give the poor guy a break ... after all it is probably the apprentice kiddo, doing the internet stuff... while the old boys sell the cars... the skyline does have the 350GT badge on the back they probably think it is a skyline or a 350(Z)GT (Pack). They know what a skyline looks like (kiddo did see the fast and the furious and knows what a skyline is...) which leaves him with a Nissan that says 350 and GT and is a V6 coupe... Not all sales persons are JDM anoraks...which is probably why they are selling cheap, so us JDM anoraks can profit from his errors...

  10. Zzzz...

    Rims

from the same seller, but these surely cannot be 19"... they look like "dubs" to me ... yoh!
  11. that might end up looking like a rainbow... do you want to drive around in what looks like a rainbow type display?....
  12. definetely not pleasant....... but not the ugliest...
  13. 1 Sunset 2 Blade 2 Kuro 3 Chilli 3 Yellow 4 GM :) ( ) 4 Blue :) in bold ... "rusty" is going to be lonely...
  14. Also US spec. Why doesn't Nissan UK sort themselves out and provide this like other nissan websites?...
  15. try this http://www.nissanusa.com/apps/techpubs it will be US spec O/M but will not be that different... not sure if the service manual (separate attachment will be same for EURO and US/JDM)
  16. Just found an incredibly interesting and informative set of websites... might be worthy of a sticky on the tech forums? All information is unbiased (not sponsored) and seems to know what he's talking about... Engine oil Suspension Wheel and tyre Brakes Fuel and engine Transmission etc... really worth a read if you are interested in techno-geeky-automotive stuff. For the HOME page of all these pages go to: www.carbibles.com as an example regarding a currently active thread on tyres, The Wheel and Tyre Bible: Everything from Tyres sizes, calculators, offsets, etc... http://www.chris-longhurst.com/carbible ... bible.html
  17. Would you care if the car was lime green? yep, lime green would be fine... I have had orange, white and gold coloured cars, I am not afraid of a bit of colour... no doubt I would be tinting the windows though...
  18. what if like me, you buy the car and not care about the colour, just want to get the ride at the best possible value.
  19. don't they have to provide a UK number plate that reflects the year of manufacture/sale? therefore an 04 should get a xx 04 xxx number plate, surely...
  20. great if you are a buyer for a used one though think also fo the new G band for road tax... ( my 54's with a "puny" 280bhp is feeling rather smug...)
  21. I don't know, I can only comment on the tyres I have and they are not the PS2 ... all I know about them is they are different in tread and also they are a different concept of tyre from the blurb on the michelin web page... http://www.michelinman.com/tires/sports-car/
  22. Michelin Pilot Sports, (not the PS2) but again depends on what is important for you lateral grip, straight line feel, road noise etc... the MPS are good for a significant increase in wet cornering performance, but they are not the quietest on motorway... or the most durable, from what i have heard... but , http://www.tyretest.com/pkw_sommerreifen/index.html and many people here will say toyos are best...
