Jeeee! I never thought of that one myself ... In fact I am going to pick Microsoft paint and fill in the colour pixels one by one also for the nismo stripes so that they show the red and black properly... I'll get back to you lot in 2 years time....

If nissan have any sense they will handover to Renault the Original VQ35engine and not the latest ... Nissan will keep the latest developed range for them I hope... 270 bhp Should be more than enough for a sedan based coupe

it is easy 9ooo miles or 1 year (Whichever is first... ) for servicing and the sequence is: P1, P2, P1, P3 => P1, P2, P1, P3 etc... P1 around 100-120 quid P2 around 140-160 quid P3 around 250-300 quid. 30k-40 plan for brake pads (200 quid tops.) 50k plan for spark plugs (30 quid tops ?) after this I think mainly it is unchartered territory for zed generally...

What can you do if you get stopped by the traffic cops?
Zzzz... replied to N15MNO-Daron's topic in Off Topic Discussion
Do not admit or deny is the best way but keep it diplomatic... at least you can have a chance with a human cop... If you try and challenge a photo taken by an inanimate cop, some bitter twisted granny processing the photos will not listen to reason and will do you... there must be a target for processing time and sending... and if you do not co-operate to their satisfaction (I.E. getting the money for speeding) they will not do you for SP* and 60quid , they will do you for MS90 and 200 quid for "not cooperating to identify the driver of the vehicle" then try and get insurance cover for a high performance car... what is classed as "not co-operating to identify the driver", even if you cannot honestly remeber who was driving at that time... by the police, they will do you for that... but the worst bit is that the insurance like to re-word MS90 as "withholding eveidence from the police..." which entitles them to slap a 500quid premium on your insurance... for the next 5 years... moral of the story ... JUST PAY THE TAX MAN (SORRY TRAFFIC POLICE)THE HIDDEN ROAD TAX UP FRONT!!! DONT CHALLENGE IT by the way I am not bitter at all by the UK legal system for road safety ... -
several possibilities 1. The dealer input the wrong date. 2. The car was manufactured in 2002 , possible if the launch in Japan was early Jan 2003 {or even earlier, in 2002}, they would have had to start making then 2-3 months in advance of the sales release... 3. If the start of Sales in Japan was late 2003, then you could have a model from the latest production trials... {edit} So find out when the start of sales was in Japan, take away 2-3 months and this will be the start of production (roughly), and if it is earlier than this then it is option 3, otherwise 2, or 1 ...

not replaced fluid yet... as I only had the NISSAN approved P3 service, where they should have told me I was in in my last few mm of pad... (IT IS an inspection point...!!!) and in this service they did replace the brake fluid... but it seems i might just do that now ... might as well... as for braided steel lines... I am not going to bother, I can understand the purpose , but I am not sure of the increase in performance. And the brake as they are, I think are over an above my requirements ( or should it be capability ? ).... I think at this moment I need to keep an eye on the RR discs even though I could not see any damage to it from the metal backing plate touching the disc... it could have some small scoring causing the squeal when the discs get hot...

I don't think any have height adjuster...M350ZB might be thinking of the seat belt assist ( for reach) which you can adjust up or down a little bit... but for me even this does not sort it really... only thing to do is adjust the back rest rest position.

I think ONLY the original JDM rear LED in SIlver look cool. but i have not been able to find any for under 300 quid a set ....and only in the US so I think only the original EURO LED are the only alternative, I am hoping soon (because there are going to be a few 06 and over models around) the prices will become cheaper than those "Z" LEDS...

hummm maybe... today i had a spirited run cross country to the banbury run ( classic motorcycles) and when they get hot the Rears started squealing like little piglets in the slaughter house... I copper greased everything ( including leading edges of the pads as mentioned in the owners manual... ) bedded the brakes as mentioned in the instructions.. and on top of that got a slightly spongy pedal... ARRRGHH frustrated as I am going to have to have the pads out, check it all over again...and bleed the brake system... maybe not a 1.5 hours job... but braking performance !!!! unbelievable... I find myself stopping way to early into the bends compared to my previous breaking points, and I am now learning to leave it later for the braking... :

That's good news... I was worried there for a bit... i got mine to the backing plate last night getting to my house... I reckon I had around 5 miles of backing plate to disc contact... but on detail inspection all seems well... Thanks for the info...

Maybe a bit of a weird one... has anyone got Nismo Sideskirts ONLY fitted , with Std. FR and RR bumper, and std alloys (non-rays...) ? ideally in GM. I am trying to picture it, to figure out if it will look right, or at least ok...in which case I will fit them ASAP... or wait until i decide to get the rest of the kit and fit it? ta very mucho...

Background for the Question i Need to ask... I have just replaced the pads (37k,I don't think they are from new...) Anyway replaced them because the Rears where making a grinding noise ( like the back plate of the pad was touching the disc... ) (Ferodo DS2500, thanks Big Phil! ) Anyway, I had my P3 service less than 2 month ago and 2k miles ago, where brake pads IS an inspection point... and perhaps should have noticed pads wearing out...IF THEY INSPECTED... Fronts had loads of meat in them 5mm thick... but noticed the Inner pads where more worn (3mm left?) When I replaced the RR found LH was OK at around 3mm outer and 2mm inner pad (so just ready for replacement....) But the RR RH had 4mm on the outer and BARE METAL BACK on the inner!!!! QUESTIONS FOR YOU ALL! 1. Have you noticed the inner pads wearing quicker than the Outer pads? 2. Has anyone noticed One side wearing quicker than the other? Because I have no idea of what the previous owner did... I want to try and get an idea if there is a problem with my calipers. or maybe the previous owner nreplaced some pads and not the others! ( I surely hope not!!! ) Anyway I'm back to ultra braking performance and already noticeable after 25miles ... (you would expect so if I was using back plates of pads to brake!!! ) by the way, 1hour:20 minutes for my first attempt at brake pad replacement...

it won't be the Production model GT-R... it will be the rolling concept of the GTR shown in the tokyo motorshow 2005... but maybe another good reason to go....

if you get nissan parts you might as well get it done by nissan and it will cost under 300 quid...( mine cost 275 i think...) they should plug in the Nissan CONSULT and do a diagnostics check to make sure everything is ok ( no stored error codes etc...)... otherwise I am not sure why they charge 300 quid for basic fluid replacement...

NEW Genuine NISMO Nissan 350Z ADJUSTABLE Rear Spoiler
Zzzz... replied to M13KYF's topic in Spotted on Ebay or Other
From when I spoke to guy on the phone this morning, I got the impression that this was the last lot of Nismo bits! Did you notice that there are no side skirts this time round??? That's because Zzzz... was so jealous of the ones that I had bought, he decided to grab them before they went onto ebay! It seems these listings have caused quite a stir over on the OC because many of the guys heard that another member over there had done a back hand deal to get the complete kit and they therefore thought that the ebay items were already sold, resulting in them not bidding! Needless to say, the guy had 3 or 4 kits so I ended up getting a bargain!!!! yep i am now the proud owners of Original Nismo SKIRTS now i need, bumper or front chin spoiler, RR wing.... hummmmm....perhaps the first stage of a full nismo conversion coming, up?, or perhaps a hybrid kit? (Nismo, veilside, strosek...options options options...) must study more ( and earn a few pounds more... ) -
theres an ebay US seller and he quotes 200 quid or so for the nissan original covers... but to that you need fitting charge... as it is not a straightofrward job, so you'll need experts to fit if properly...so add labour costs and you are right... your seats are probably just as cost effective but better as they will be more unique ... apart from when you come to a meet and LOMOTO is there...

I'll buy it if they can prove the flux capacitor will work... by doing a travel back in time to 1955 and bring, or park a Porsche 550 Spyder in my garage, so when i wake up tomorrow it will just appear there...

If you get the original nissan covers, they come with crimp rings and the seat foam has wire rings in it and these ring fix to the wires...so you can replace them and get a really good fit if the job is done properly. So if your leather gets damage nissan can replace the cover alone no probs... but i am not sure of the foam cushion shapes of a cloth seat are exactly the same shape (height etc...) as for leather for an exhange... by the way not tiger... that's to "rocky balboa"... mine a leopard print...

I have been twice in the past 3 years and it is a great weekend, celebs, unbelievable cars, mix in a bit of racing up the hill route... wacky races cars ... I can post some piccies from previous years but it will have to be tonight... if you have corporate hospitality, this will mean an even better time... EXCELLENT... cannot reccommend it enough. I am making arrangements to go with some mates, not yet confirmed but 80 % certain. If by any chance you get the Cartier corporate hospitality, let me know if you are not going to make use of it...
