LARGE please not MEDIUM... and yes i'll take the white one if no one wants it ... and I will not be able to go to JAE, i think... so post for me ... (1.50 p+p for both? )
  2. Those pics don't do it justice... in the flesh it is an interesting car and has some presence about itself... but agree it is not "wow" design, but i still think you get a lot of car for the money...
  3. Paint fade, this early in its life, will only happen on solid colours and mainly reds, they tend to use more pigments and no clear coat, and these degrade against UV. If it is metallic and clearcoated(which it is...) it will be protected and the UV resistance is much higher.(Still rubbish for paint thickness applied! ) . you have nothing to worry on your car regarding paint fade.
  4. like the 350z , like the engine and dynamics... and you want uniqueness.... in that case get yourself an imported...skyline/G35 or if the money stretches... a G37 Same engine, same platform, similar suspension setup, but with more seats and if you want, more doors also (sedan and coupe...) G35 will be cheap as chips in Japan now the G37 is out... alternatively how about a MURANO?
  5. michelin pilot sports will give you unbelievable improvement in handling and increase cornering G capability (in the wet also...) compared to the bridgestones... i don't have information on Toyos to say if they are better than MPS . but i bet they aren't...
  6. maybe this then http://www.nissanshiftgear.com/product_ ... ry=NISSANZ

  8. tell you what ... if you want some original Nismo Side Skirts (unpainted)you can have them, for a price. I originally had plans for some updating on my car... but external circumstances in the next few weeks are likely to prevent me from doing this...
  9. Rule the bends, and bend the rules but it is a truck... if you are gonna look at truck... have a look at this one... this is what you really want.... http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... 3077382755

Large BLACK please... actually make a Large WHITE ALSO ... Ta very much
  11. http://www.diy.com/diy/jsp/bq/nav/nav.j ... earch=true how about a couple of 30 quid gazebos over your car... and then sell them back in EBAY... to recover some of the costs...
  12. ~I agree , i think we should actually stop any development of technology that allows progress of our society... in fact if we ban cars greater than 100mph, then we will reduce the need to develop new technologuies for airbags, crash safety, emissions, passive safety, in fact lets not bother developing new technologies at all... and live like amish people with little carts
  13. i'm not sure I have though about it before, but i think you need to contrast it more... anthracite I assume is a dark grey...which blends it closely to the body metal colour and therefore you loose the visibility and it all blends into one colour...maybe if you give it a polished lip If you contrast it more, you get more visual value out of your pride and joys... Black and GM ok, but not great, gives it a mean look... Silver and GM ok, Gold and other colours OK depending also on wheels design... BLUE and GM
  14. I bet the harness in the JDM has the same connector wires for the FR power socket where the UK has it... but i bet it is taped out of sight behind the centre console area. Just a bit of trim removal, rewiring and you could have yourself and exclusive power output... but this is just a guess (Calculated guess, knowing how Nissan operate in this kind of things...)
  15. 1. no one claims anything until they have contributed and they only get what they put in plus some interest, which increases with the level of contribution you make... 2. death penalty re-introduced. 3. life inprisonment means life... and you have to earn your keep inside or your family sponsor you... 4. update driving laws, and revise taxing laws for motoring... ( and yes i would keep the idea of high polluting and high cost cars paying more, but make it fair and clear...) 5. All drugs legalised , and risk clearly identified , but no supported (NHS/CHARITY etc..) you take it you know the risks... you deal with it...you accept the potential consequences... and the list goes on...
  16. Is this a serious request? If so let me know some form and I will gladly contibute to the cause.
  17. all of 2.50 i think it was
  18. You sold a used sticker on ebay yes, put it as a joke and escalated into a complete **** take with people asking loads of questions...
  19. EXCUSE me ... spotty sales assistants with some electrical knowledge...or perhaps a spotty technician if you are lucky... not spotty engineers...
  20. These are not 5 spokes but...volk GT7... alternatively ROJA R2-5 Or BRAID a spanish firm (www.BRAID.es) can do some unbelievable wheels...and I am yet to see any in the UK... not sure if you can get them black.... TOKYO3 Kyoto1 EUROPE 1 LAS VEGAS 2 They will even do your custom design, not sure of prices but 2k(3000EUROS) is probably reasonable... they could even do you a customer made steering to match you wheels!!! http://www.braid.es/billet/llantas/tecl ... llaENG.htm
  21. Depends on the folding mechanism. a simple mechanism will require a large space. but technology is getting better and the complexity of folds is becoming easier to do. (See the new astra, and volvos with 3piece roofs) a future 3?0z ( )n only requires a roof not much bigger than a MX5 hard top...and ASTRA and GOLF have to cover a larger cabin area and it is a smaller car...wheelbase wise) Cut a few RR panels, reinforce a bit further forward and away you go... no problem... ( i agree the boot space will not be that much better than current)
  22. nixy this is good news... but can i say you should get the guys to visually inspecthe connectors in the floor area in the cabin, for extra piece of mind. 1. Workshop manual available in this forum, has a section called PG, in page 53 there is a good diagram showing the main connectors, focus on the floor mounted ones... 2. Some of the connectors in the cabing will not be watertight. 3. If they remove the seats it should be easy to check the main ones ... open them, check inside for signs of water if there is dry them quickly. 4. Airbags and side airbags, are crtitical because a miniscule change in resistance ( due to corrosion in the terminals) will trigger the airbag warning light. 5. Same applies for the Airbag Control unit, but this is normally mounted in the central area near the gearshift, so it won't be low on the floor.. 6. IT will be worth to do this , even if it takes a couple of hours more , to ensure the electrical system has not been compromised. and get nasty surprises in the future. Anyway it is good news... just double check everything ...
  23. That is unless the new model is going to have a revised (smaller) platform, which reduced the weight of the vehicle and also has a new 3.7 litre engine increasing the power output, say to something like ... 350bhp... then you could end up with a lightweight coupe with higher power, or a Convertible with similar weight to the current coupe but with more power...so both way you could gain over the current model... but i am only speculating...
  24. I think you will find that the body still need strengthening...think that the metal roof is fixed to the boby by pivots and while one section might act as a brace from one side to the other.. it is only as strong as the pivot... and this will not be as good as a solid arch structure. As proof of this, you can look at the underfloors of all metal roof convertibles and you will see chunkier sills and cross braces in the RR near the fuel tank (pug and micra cc are very visible...) others such as astra and golf I am not sure if they will be as visible, or they would have designed it into the body structure more "effectively", but definetely heavier... in saying this new MX5 i seem to remeber managed to keep the weight the same or very similar to the soft top option...~(then again this could be a totally random statement with no back up data... )
  25. The body will change I think the photos we have seen are those of a "mule" effectively using the upper body of current models to hide the next generation. It will (has to) look different, as you say... Also right manufacturers tend to chzange naming conventions ... so it is a risk betting on this name being used.. but maybe , because the "Z" brand is not so big , there is not such a risk of having to dilute the names into a huge range... and considering Nissan have kept this since 240 zeds. and that quickly changed to 260Z etc... and down to the latest micra 160SR ( yep that's 1.6 l not 160bhp ) and with the potential of using the 3.7 litre engine...I think you could be in for an easy wager...
