+1 could be something to do with the sound system and a bad earth. My Zed gave a hissing noise from the speakers. It is definately the rear passenger speaker, It carried on making the noise when I parked up this morning so I was climbing around trying to suss out where it was coming from - hopefully will be an easy fix and the warranty I have will sort it Ads

might try a mousetrap and some cheese too the one noise it reminds me of is when I had my racing puma and there was a scratching type noise coming from the steering column, ended up being some loose wire & tape vibrating

I've noticed my Zed has developed an intermittant scratching noise which seems to come from the rear offside area. Thought at first it was crackle / interferance through the passenger speaker but only occurs when car is moving. Seems worse when accelerating! This morning it was quite bad and could hear it over radio. Not had much time to work out exactly when it does / doesn't make the noise but it getting on my nerves Its still under warranty for 2 mths from where I bought it from so will take it for a check but anyone any idea what it could be ? thanks Ads

some thoughts on the 1st week of owning the zed + goes like stink + is actually very comfortable, nice cruiser + goes off the lights like a rocket + enjoying the heated seats in this weather + my mates think I'm a flash b*stard - Cd skips too easy - wish the computer button was easier to reach - not had much chance to test the handling, roads too slippy - people want to race you all the time - I just let them go by right choice ? DEFINATELY Ads

I certainly am still smiling Just got back from long drive and I'm lovin it. I just love the sound, its sounds so mean So you had a look at it in the garage ? looks spotless apart from some chips to the lower front bumper and some very minor kerbing on 2 of the alloys. will have to come down to Wrexham soon Ads

Well the deal has been done and I will soon be the proud owner of a lurvely blue 350z Took it out for a test drive and it drove really well, no clicking from rear axle or crunching gears. Did not go thrashing it around just gave it a good workout with a few bends thown in although it was a bit wet in places ! Had to take the wife along too and she had a drive and she was sold too Managed to get some more money knocked off so all round a very happy chappy Can't wait for sat when I pick it up Ads

Hi all, Been planning on getting a 350z for a while now (currently own a RS Focus) as never had a 2 seater RWD sports car and just love the 350z. Was planning to get one early 2008 but then spotted one in the garage down the road and went to see it today. It looks a very clean example and they will take trade in on my RS (which is a CAT D) which saves me the time selling it on which might be tricky. My head is all over the place now on what to do. The car has done just over 20k and is for sale for £18,995 - does that sound a fair price? I would have to spend about £1k to sort my RS out as needs front spraying and alloys redone so the price they have offered as part ex is low but not bad considering the work was planning to do to it anyways, I have looked at some of the buying tips, e.g. clicking axle, notchy gear change in 4-6th, bumper chips.
