  1. What a guy. He's the man. Pity he's got zero interest in coming to Blighty! I particularly agree with his "Immigrants, not Australians, must adapt". I wish we could be the same. It's common sense - if you go live in another country you adopt their way of doing things. Heck I had to learn to spell everything differently and change my T's to D's in order to be understood. I also had to learn to overtake on the inside and then, pass as many people in the very last second before crossing all 6 lanes to leave the freeway
  2. IT's a tough call Liam, I'm glad it's not me making it. BUT, if you definitely want those bits (wheels & Zorst) then you have to really know if you can afford to add them to Car A. If you can, then it's the one to go for. Is £89.5k a good deal? Can't the dealer improve it a bit to pursuade you? Does he know your dilema? If he knew he's at REAL risk of losing £89.5k he may improve the deal a bit..... For example, the £3150 for the wheels is presumably retail? Maybe he'd be happy to put them on at cost for you in order to save the deal? Maybe the same for the Zorst? The extras and the lower price of Car B is tempting but a Lambo with 30k miles on it would be tough to move on wouldn't it?
  3. Excellent, I hope the club coffers receive a welcome boost from all the sales I'm not going to JAE either but would like a Black Large please. How would you like to be paid Max? Bank transfer? Paypal?
  4. Check out www.detailingworld.co.uk - it's a mine of imformation. To get specific info you'll need to be specific though There's also good advice on www.polishedbliss.co.uk and you can buy stuff there too (I buy most my gear there).
  5. Jacko - you don't need one. your UK driver's licence is sufficient for any rental company. And you only need the photocard - you'll only confuse them if you take the paper bit too Seriously. I spent the first 6 months in CA using my UK drivers licence before getting my California one. I've returned and it's easier to get a rental using my UK licence than my California one. You'll be fine. don't worry. Just enjoy yourself and look out for spotter planes. The police cars do not stand out like ours do and they'll be on your ass before you recognise them.
  6. Looks like a great day out. Then a cheap night on the town with some Rusky chicks In October we're going to Bratislava for some AK47 & Magnum shooting. We had considered Beer Drinking Races with Sheep in Latvia though
  7. He had a terrible season this season so this video will give England & Utd fans hope: http://nikefootball.nike.com/nikefootba ... inggallery,
  8. elrao was getting rid of his Infinity sub the other day (pm him/ check his posts) and it fit in the original bose hole behind the driver. The sub is decent, I had one in an Rx7 a couple years back. It's gonna be plenty for the 350.
  9. Looking forward to seeing pics. Most on here have opened a photobucket account (www.photobucket.com) and uploaded pics to that. It's simple to just then copy the link of a pic you've added and insert it into your post.
  10. And everytime you walk away from it..... You just gotta turn round haven't ya.
  11. We could all email the MP involved and let him know.... he's a ****! chrisdaviesmep@cix.co.uk
  12. Look in the Viking catalog, you should be able to find some self laminating sheets that you simply insert your printed page into then peel and stick the laminate down.
  13. Bad luck Jay - it's a special font called FA Font made by Umbro. Contact Umbro to see if there is one similar but it is not available to the public.
  14. I am yet to be convinced too Stuey... I crumbled under pressure though (unusual for me )
  15. Choptop - now that 18.8 is confirmed, what sort of time are you thinking of starting - around 10 like the NW run? I am tempted. I may stay with friends in Worcester Friday or perhaps even Bristol as I don't fancy driving down Sat AM. Please confirm the start time. Also, looking at the distance covered it seems shorter than the NW run?? : Are people planning to stay locally Friday, or hang round for Sat night?
  16. No, only between the states and canada
  17. In 5 yrs I got pulled twice in California. Both were in Inyo County. Once I was let off (85 in a 65 area at 5am going to Mammoth). The other time I was doing 94 in a 65 area on the way back. Everyone speeds on the way back from Mammoth and the officer admitted they were only pulling those going over 80. The English accent will help and the officer put me down as going 80 (15mph over the limit). At 94 I'd have been screwed. 15mph over the limit allows you to take the Test which removes the ticket and subsequent points. Points are BAD cos your insurance rockets. Anyway, with an International (UK) License and in a hire car you may be lucky. My guess will be that if you don't go more than 15mph over the limit you'll be let off with a warning - assuming you're nice and respectful. Oh and that you were pretty much keeping up with traffic. If you're weaving in and out bombing passed everyone - expect a rough ride. Pull over as soon as you see the light behind you. Pull over as far to the right as possible so the officer isn't in danger of the road when he's standing at your window. ALWAYS put your hands on the steering wheel as he approaches - he needs to see them or he may well approach with his gun drawn. Your English accent won't help then He'll ask if you know why he stopped you - Say NO. If he asks if you know how fast you were going - Say YES as it shows you were aware of your driving style and that you believed it to be safe. However, if he's determined to give you a ticket it'll mean an instant fine. Can't pay it? Well you've got a credit card haven't you? There you go then. Won't pay it? Then you will be arrested and escorted to the local Jail. Where you'll spend the night. And still have to pay. And recover your rental from where it was left. Police officers are not soft pussies like over here. They are mean motherfcukers who demand respect. Be nice and you may get a break. Oh, and don't think that an empty, dead straight road is cop-free. They're up in the air looking down on you and will call a local highway patrol to run you down. Sorry but you gotta be real careful.
  18. It may seem a little harsh - and I generally have a lot of 'empathy' for the blind ; but..... at leas the won't see who dunnit!
  19. So, he generally STOLE it right? Treat is as theft???
  20. I was looking out for an update to this thread to see pics & read a review. What a disappointment. Poor Show boys, very poor. I feel for you Choptop.
  21. :scare: On reflection, the Pilot regretted giving Sarnie the controls on the return from Portugal.
  22. That's a decent sub too - It was one of the 11 speakers I had in my old RX7 convertible. Where in your 350 did you position it?
