  1. it's a lot of mods for the money I agree but I'm more interested in getting a lower mileage original example if poss.
  2. oops - hope it wasn't a valeting guy or an airport car park employee taking it for a spin!
  3. Nice motor - I've never seen one on the road either.
  4. What a bunch of tossers you lot are. Actually I tried sheilah's wheels for the CTR and they wouldn't even touch it! They must only insure girly cars.
  5. funny how it differs cos Admiral were one of the worse for me!
  6. yeah I found confused to be quite good - I was surprised really - that's if what they quoted is actually correct!
  7. Usually 25 but not always. You better check. and G350z - yes I admit I did let someone take my car - he also had a 3 series and was looking at mine for his missus. He brought it back and ripped it to pieces including saying the bulbs had gone. When he'd gone I checked them and they hadn't 'gone' they'd actually GONE! He'd nicked them presumably for his BMW along with the rubber retaining straps out of the boot. He was from Leeds though! A lesson learned! There is another post somewhere that explains how thick I am.............
  8. This might be a daft question but are you under 25? If so, that's why.
  9. I tend to join forums where I can find like minded people so I don't feel too disadvantaged.
  10. but did he have traction control on or off?
  11. exactly. I mean they could just get out and walk away with a "sorry mate"! I once let someone take my 3 series out on their own and I kept keys to his car - the tosser actually nicked my rear bulbs!
  12. yeah, but if they're fully comp your car's only covered third party - so if they slide into a tree you've had it. Do you mean you won't let them drive it then?
  13. So what do you guys do if you sell a car privately? Obviously a punter who has fully comp insurance can usually come and test drive your car legally with your permission third party but would you let them? It's a bit of a catch 22 - you don't want them to drive it without full cover and they won't want to buy it if you don't let them drive it. Is it worth getting cover for any driver over 25 on a temporary basis while you're selling it?
  14. Ill do it for you, whats your nearest dealer? don't you dare!
  15. go on then, explain the science bit to me.
  16. do you know, I hate going to a garage and test driving when I've got absolutely no intention of buying one off them - I feel cheeky and a bit embarrassed! I'm a real cowardy custard!
  17. that's good because I only put nice petrol in as a treat!
  18. so would you have to definitely use higher octane fuel for an import then?
  19. You're obviously not as shallow as 'some' people. Or are you being worse...........
  20. You men are all far too easily seduced by looks alone! Typical!
  21. cheeky swines! I can never understand the bit about mods. Why should you have to pay extra unless you actually want to insure the mods?
  22. if it had less miles I'd consider it but that's exactly what I did last time when I got the Honda - it had 40 odd on it and now I'm having to sell it with 63 on! Won't be easy!
  23. I think if I import one the UK number has to be on for a set time period before I can put my own on. It's a flippin' mine field! How do really thick people cope?
