  1. wait for the new escort passport 9500 (i think) to come out . Has passive detection same as something like a valentine one, and also a GPS antenna so you can 'teach' it where false alarms are and it wont go off next time round. Its been tested on radar roys site and had mega thumbs up. Remebers the GPS location, frequency and number of bogeys, so if next time round theres a legitimate threat it will still go off. You can also teach it static locations. Far better than a road angel if you ask me as they even have the duff (empty) cameras programmed into them, and theres no way of telling if they are fake or not. . . . . . but, obviously i slow down anyway as they are all so strategically positioned in accicent blackspots and never just at random. . .(?) , it would be unethical to speed through such zones. Jamie
  2. Ill try and fill up a memory car or two. . . . Jamie

  11. Yeah, i got caught out on the Japanese Auction sheet. Its common in england for cars to COME with spare keys, its suicidal to only have one key for a car at anyone time. In Japan, on the auctions at least, although they are very quick to point out any defects on the car and are extremely thourough in other areas, they dont bother pointing out when a car only has one key with it, which, if you ask me, a car, coming without a spare key is just as important as a dent in a door. . . .certainly costs similar amounts to rectify. They only mention when it DOES have a spare key. . . . Its an oxymoron. . . . New importers. . . . . You have all been warned !!
  12. OK well after being quoted £260 just for the intergrated keyfob and blade WITHOUT cutting and programming i deceided to see if there were any others ways of getting one. What i did: - Purchased a USA keyblade/immboiliser (has seperate fob for remote central in the US) Purchased a USA remote keyfob The reason i did this was i noticed that on ebay, the list of cars you can use the keys in are endless. I found out my current key used a philips crypto transponder and 'assumed' that this was used throughout the nissan range and thus the keys werent model specific. I also purchased the remote as in the UK, the remote frequencies are 400 and something mhz, and in the USA and pacifix this are 315mhz. SO , i was hoping that the same BCM module in the 350z was used in japan and the US, well, the transmitter part of things. . . . . well, after getting my BCM serial number off the side of it, and getting nissan to email there HQ, they got my NATS code and booked in for 30mins labout to attempt programming I got the key cut locally for £5. Well , basically, it didnt work. . . . . . . . The key cutting was fine, YAY, i have a key that will open the doors, but, when he tried to program the key, he told me he started to read it, and program it, then it managed to start it, then, after 2 starts, it locked the key out. And this is what usually happns when tis the wrong type of key. . . . its rather odd, and rather annoying as i can think of no 'secure' reason why nissan would sell 'model specific keys', other to have more control over there cosumers with a vaugue hint of increased security. But without a mecanic and a mega expensive consult-2 device and a PIN code generator, thats security enough. Anyway. . . . . the remote fob didnt work at all either, so, obviously different frequency. I was given 3 quotes for potential keys that WOULD work. One is a master key blade (£60), a master trasnmitter (£140) and the full on replacement key (£260) So, i tried guys but not much luck. I have the part number for the legitemate JDM spare key whick will UNDOUBTABLY work. H0564-C9923 I got a quote from a supplier in Japan (japanparts.com) for about £115, but nissan wont supply the key to a non Z33 owner. . . . FFS, another anal internal policy. I WILL get around that, somehow, and when i do, ill let you know. So, dont waste you time trying other keys, it wont work. . . . i did that so now you dont have to. If you want a key to get you in the car, then by all means get a USA key from ebay like i did and get it cut. this little adventure cost me £65 in total :o) would have been great if it had worked. . . . arr well Jamie
  13. random yes/no general knowledge questions which can be customsed and renewed 'when the bots learn them' every few months eg. how many fingers do you have? how many testicles do you have? how many hours in a day? etc etc if there were these custom random questions on each board, there would be too much inital human reasearch and input for the bots to be kept 'efficeint
  14. the weird things about these scams is they ALWAYS seem to go into more detail that is nesaccary for the item location. It seems to be a constant ive notice. They must have a program i reckon that fills it in in this way. intersting. . . obviously the ZERO feedback slighty gives it away Jamie
  15. been to saaarrf-end lately? there doing the same thing with novas . . . . tunes to 60bhp at the front wheels!!! beastly
  16. The owner. Why would anyone let an 18 yr old girl drive a 800BHP car? umm . . . . . . . SEX!!!
  17. Ive been there and done that. with my last car. Its a bit of fun having a PC in your car, but id at no point do away with a standard PC headunit. The radios are just NOT up to it yet for computers. Only crappy FM USB tuners, and tv/fm pci cards. Also, its a PC, so despite how much time you spend perfecting it, it will crash from time to time and its mucho hasselo. I went for and all in car pc installation in my last car without a headunit and it soudned great and looked cool, but ended up pissing me off with its crashing, freezing and lack of decent radio. Remember, alot of the car pc software is based around the good old USA, so most of the decent GPS software isnt compatible with the front ends like Media engine, frodo etc amd we dont have satilette radio over here which would be great for an all in solution. Its cool, but only as an auxillary unit. . . . . . they just aint stable enough and 'solidstate' enough, like the built in navs which provide greater reliability and less issues. Its a labour of love. . . . .
  18. id use the word 'great' rather loosly when talking about the BOSE
  19. ok You realise though that the US and UK cars usually can be done by their owner? Jamie
