  1. Remember the possiblity of sag.

Nissan spent £££s setting up the damper spring balance and did further development on UK spec cars. That is part of the reason why mags such as EVO rate it as their fav car of its type. Changing spring height and ratings without extensive development work on all aspects of chasis setup is very unlikely to help the handling.

The 350Z does look good lowered though.

  2. EVO test was September 2007.

This autoexpress test also tested them (came out as best of the cheaper tyres), results:

Dry Handling: Pirelli P Zero, Michelin Pilot Sport PS2, BF Goodrich G-force Profiler

Wet Handling: Pirelli P Zero, Continental Conti Sport Contact 3, Goodyear Egle A1 Aysmmetric

Dry Braking: Michelin Pilot Sport PS2, Pirelli P Zero, BF Goodrich G-force Profiler

Wet Braking: Goodyear Egle A1 Aysmmetric, Vredestein Ultrac-Sessanta

Aquaplaning - Straight: Uniroyal Rainsport 2,Vredestein Ultrac-Sessanta, Pirelli P Zero

Aquaplaning - curved: Pirelli P Zero, Continental Conti Sport Contact, Vredestein Ultrac-Sessanta

  3. I have used these in the past. I liked them. Do not last as long as Bridgestones.

    6) Pirelli PZero Nero

    8) Dunlop Sport Maxx

    9) Yokohama S.Drive

    .

EVO mag ran a near stock 350Z in a race formula. Checkout what they used.

The 350Z Rays are forged and so very light and they are 18"

  4. Has anybody tried Pirellis on thier Z, either the P Zero Rosso or the new P Zero?

I think the new P Zero is only available in the rear fitment, but it did come out top of the most recent Auto Express tyre test.

I'm running B/S RE050A and seem far far better than the RE040's I took off.

Yes I run the new PZeros as tested by Autoexpress. They were also found to be the best performance tyre available by a leading German magazine.

They are not hardwaring but if you want the best...... Be careful not to be saddled with any Pirelli other than the new PZeros, their range is very confusing.

  5. Thor Racing tuned Utec will give you around 10% increase. They are experienced at tuning using this unit, I'm sure they will do you a deal on the hardware and tuning.

XS turbo provide a full software back up for their Utec system.

  6. Hi. Great looking car.

There are two drag strips within approx 2 hrs of Molesworth.

Jap car scene is big in the UK, a couple of the Jap car shows are based at some of the many race tracks within the UK (e.g. Silverstone, Donnington Park and Castle Combe). This gives you a chance to show your car and do a few laps.

There are people here who can tune your Utec

  7. Civic would be my choice. Best residuals and reliability.

Drivethedeal has this deal: Honda Civic 2.2 CTDi SE 5dr with free leather £13,961 15.5% - other models available.

  8. I liked James May's arguments that, as all cars are bad for the environment, in the future cars will become like horses have become and we will use them for entertainment only.

Those who are into cars will have a really nice thoroughbred in their garage for track days and special occasions.

I am aware of the holes in this argument but if true it would still allow me enjoy the combustion engine.

  9. It is supposed to be 100KG lighter.

Unfortunately, unlike the Exige, BMW 335i, 2.0 TTS or the soon to be revised Cayman S it will not be less than 225 CO2. So the taxman will still get his big stick out.

  10. I'm sure it is safe but dynos that attach to hubs are perhaps safer.

Not really worth spending the cash unless your having it tuned at the same time, all it will tell you is what your car makes on that particular dyno at that particular time.

    Hope it goes well.
