  1. You get my sympathy too mate!! It's absolutely disgusting. I was caught by a mobile "safety camera" 2 years ago just outside Yeovil. I was doing 70 on a dual carriageway, but unknown to me it was a 60 zone. Anyway, the reason I was only doing 70 was because I already had 6 points on my licence and I thought I was travelling at the speed limit!! So, due to these weasely f***ers I went up to 9 points. I'm back down to 6 points now after 2 years of torture. My other 6 points were earned fair and square on the M6 and M74 by marked plod. No complaints as they could have threw the book at me both times, but the coppers who stopped me were decent blokes and weighed up the situations (dry roads, time of day, amount of traffic, type of car) very grateful for that. It's those sneaky mobile cameras that make me furious. Words can't describe how much I detest them.
  2. Sounds like a great place to spend a Sunday afternoon. Great for spectators anyway!!

    My Current Car

:bye: Lookin good. Hope you get it sold. BTW, can't you read signs??
  4. I'd go straight to jail without even passing Go!!
  5. Bootiful How many horses (as standard) do you reckon that'll be kicking out when it's launched?
  6. Sarnie, no worries mate, I've been flashed loads of times by cameras on the other side of the road and I've never received anything. Still doesn't stop you shitting yourself when it happens though!! In this crazy country maybe someone somewhere has been done when travelling in the opposite direction, but I've had at least 5 incidents of it that I can remember and I've never been done for it.
  7. Och well, what's 8 kilos. I can gain that around Christmas time anyway!!
  8. They are also much heavier - around 2 kilos per wheel Which ones are? The Rays or the standards?
  9. Ah, well, I'll just keep my ears open, listen closely, cross my fingers and hope that I'm one of the luck ones. Just out of interest, how many people on this site have had the axle problem?
  10. I forgot that when I bought the car it had 10 months Nissan warranty left, so the dealer (it was a Bentley dealer) had to give me 2 months warranty to make it up to a year. Anyway, they screwed up and gave me an extra 12 months So, it's under warranty now till summer 2008. Do non-Nissan warranties cover the clicking axle fault?
  11. Bugger I was hoping you were gonna say that it would've happened by now if it was going to happen!!
  12. Right, before you all jump on me and beat me up for not reading the previous posts regarding this fault, I have. (well most of them) I know about the TSB etc... Just a couple of questions regarding diagnosis. My car is an '04, so it's warranty will run out next summer. I just want to make sure that if I do have this fault, I can get it fixed before the warranty runs out. Personally, I can't hear a peep from the rear axle at the moment. Who knows, it has maybe had the fix before I bought it. 1) How noticeable is the noise? Is it a matter of "there's no way you can miss it cos it sounds like a bag of spanners" or is it more subtle and can only be heard when freewheeling etc.? 2) Roughly what percentage of zeds experience this problem? Is it more likely that you will get the problem than not? 3) If you are unlucky enough to get the problem with your zed, how quickly does the fault show up? Is it something that if it's going to happen it will happen within a few thousand miles or is it something that can happen at any time in the car's life? Muchos Grazias Amigos
  13. That's what happens when you go to "Stevie Wonder's Auto Detailing Co."
  14. Good choice. I'd take the advice of the guys on here over Halfords any day. (no disrespect to Halfords or their employees)
  15. Too true. I almost feel sorry for him, whoring himself around radio and TV shows. He's brilliant in Click though, as Adam Sandler's boss.
  16. I always wanted a silver or a black GT until I saw a GM in the flesh!! Also, (I'll probably get savaged for this) but I honestly prefer the standard pre '06 alloys over the Rays. The just seem more.....chunky...solid!! Each to their own I suppose
  17. I've been an Optimax/V-Power club member for years and I've had a good amount of dough back from them. (mind you, I've spent an obscene amount on petrol) My old S3 ran every mile of it's 100,000mile life on the stuff. I've also won a couple of i-Pod Nanos from prize draws that they have every now and again. The threshold for earning bonus points seems quite low as well. IMO you'd be daft not to sign up.
  18. Good effort getting the 48hour gig!! You'll be sold in minutes though!!
