    CBT

Way hey!!! i passed It is classed as training but you have to be at a certain level before they allow you your certificate so in effect it is a test. I did everything pretty well i thought. I left my indicator on once and got a telling off. I was more peed off at myself for leaving it on though, i was cursing for ages . Having never riden a bike before i thought it was a right laugh and can certainly understand why its compulsory as they go through alot of important stuff. I'm going to book my theory soon before the new test comes in september, cant wait to get my Direct access done too so i can get a bike and get out riding. Good luck Stew, as stuey said..just relax and have fun!

I'd love one mate! But i think it'll be abit stupid to get a mille for my first bike. i'd have more than a few grazed knees..
  5. That's the thing - the planet won't die, but lots of us might, or our descendants. So, when people talk about saving the planet, what they really want is to save our civilisation. The planet will be here long after humanity has gone. True, but then we've always got Mars and that new planet they just descovered which they believe humanity can also survive on. I believe we as people do make a difference to our climate but i think it is minimal compared to what effect the "natural" world has. STill theirs no harm in being Carbon neutral (if it is actually carbon that dictates climate change) however its the Airline companies and some other countries that need to do more i.e. China, india and the US

Any tips for me? Im pretty sure everything will be sorted on the day.b Doing it with a company called Riverview. Hopefully if all goes well i'm going to do my theory in the next couple of weeks and then do the direct access course in a month or two. Would like to get it all sorted well before the new test comes in. Liking the look of the new Hornet 600 too.

  15. Looking Great mate!! Certainly worth the wait. I think you should lower it. Obviously the rear needs lowering more than the front but i'd get it done anyway.

    GTR video

Think track on that vid is Leguna Seca. Looks like on that long sweeper following the porsche 3/4 way through, the Skyline loses the front end then regains grip for a split seconds. Mite just be me seeing things? If its as fast as a Porsche turbo its gunna be quick! Nice.
  18. What the hell's going on in the boot?
  19. Oooooooooooo Yeah baby! Get in. I'm glad it was Chelsea too. Having read Gerrards book im abit sorry for J.T just a little mind..... My throats sore from shouting. Can't wait for the final. As much as i hate United i hope they get there. It'll be one hell of a game!
  20. cheers mike, i thought i'd put it up..
  21. I'm sorry, but that just isn't true! I feel as a biker I should come up with some sort of defence. The data for 2002 (the last year I could find on the Office for National Statistics website) shows 609 motorcyclists or passengers killed out of a total of 3431 total road deaths for the year, which equates to 17.7%. This is eclipsed by pedestrians (696 or 20%). By far the largest group as far as road deaths go are car drivers and passengers (1747 or 50.9%). The data is here BTW: http://www.statistics.gov.uk/STATBASE/ssdataset.asp?vlnk=4031 I'll concede that there are motorcyclists that ride unsafely, just as there are drivers that drive unsafely, but I think you're being a bit unfair on motorcyclists. I agree with you that festooning the road network with speed cameras isn't the solution. But surely from a safety point of view, if there are some motorcylists who ride unsafely as well as drivers who drive unsafely, shouldn't the camera's be able to catch both the rider and driver if speeding? Ok there are alot more cars on the road than there are bikes but it should be even across the board and the same for everyone. And saying that there are fewer bikes than cars don't you think 17.7% is a high % of the total deaths?
