  1. Don't know if you've had it done yet but when i went for mine they showed me loads of examples and even showed me his own tinted car to compare against and see what i liked best. He also showed me the DVLA/MOT thingy telling you what was legal and what was not because its not all Black and white when it comes to the law on tinting. I found that my tints look dark from the outside/looking in but only marginally darker than standard from the inside/out which is great for visability through the day and night. I went for a light front tint, darker on the rear quarters and even darker on the back window. But if i were to do it again i'd keep the rear quarters and back window the same % tint. When you go i'd recommend looking at some examples first before you decide on your % tints. I dont think you can really choose before you've had a look at them in the flesh.
  2. ok replied: Hi John, I landed in Zagreb yesterday night and slept most of today. Any chance we could meet up Rijecke on Monday? Theirs a bar their that i know pretty well called Karolina, do you know it? If you have trouble finding it you can call Mike Roch on 051 330 909 and ask for directions or for me. I'll be going out for a few drinks so i could meet you there around 21:00 and talk about the car? Hopefully we can view the car on tuesday at the transporters warehouse. If i buy the car could i drive it away the same day? i will be paying cash. Let me know, Cheers Chris.
  3. ok well, ive agreed a price with a dealer so hopefully he'll have cash haha!! fingers crossed i dont get messed about this time and its all legit..
  4. Cheers all. Its a dodgy business selling your car Well ive had two offers since, one is £1k short of what i want and the other is £500 short. Will just have to wait abit longer............ Can't believe it hasn't sold yet..
  5. i can appreciate that you feel somewhat like a sale has fallen through, but in reality you have averted a nasty brown-trouser moment in the future IMO Thanks! I do feel like that alittle bit. I didnt get my hopes up too much though, i knew that my car wasn't sold until the money was in my bank. Anyway she got a treating to some V power and a full valet today. took me 3 hours! with the rubbish weather we've had she's not looked this good in a while
  6. The paypal thing did it for me, especially as he drove a hard bargain on the price of the car yet was easily willing to pay for the fees. And again at the fact that he was reluctant to get the cash from the bank. At the end of the day their was noooo way i was letting go of the car until the cash was in my bank.
  7. Looks like its going on ebay, and autotrader..
  8. Well could have been a scam, i'll never know: ""As I said earlier needed to purchase a Z this weekend as work away, CC Cheque would of taken 5 working days and there is a daily limit on cash withdrawals, which again would take a few days to get cash together. I have therefore sourced another Z which I can get this weekend from a Dealer.. Many Thanks for time and good luck with the sale""
  9. Hi Jamie, I totally understand, and i know it must have been very difficult to organise and drum up support for an event like this. Why did they not let you put up posters before the event? I've seen posters up for the coming Bank Holiday weekend today (double standards)? Why did Aspull in particular stop you putting up stuff? I can see why you found it pretty tough. And to be truthfull i expected that from the local council. They hate Boy racers out on the street but when something official and an organised event comes along they don't give any kind of support. Anyway, should you need a helping hand (i live local), especially with the printing next year then don't hesitate to PM me. Regards, Chris
  10. More like if you wait until monday I will be mobhanded to lynch you and take your money down an empty warehouse Nice one sinbad ask him in that case if you can go down to the transporter warehouse and view it there Wanna come with me and kick his arse? haha
  11. I think the answer is straightforward. He needs to take his credit card into any bank and they will provide him with cash against any request provided he can validate who he is. They may charge (not your problem) or they may refuse (not your problem but indicative of an issue with validation or credit limit) Having got the cash - back to the bank and pay it in and when you get a receipt for it, off you go Spot on, there is nothing stopping him withdrawing cash on his credit card... I'd be looking for a bankers draft though. Even then, ive heard theirs tons of fake bankers drafts doing the rounds. Even some car companies wait until the draft fully clears in the bank before releasing the car.
  12. He's offered to pay the paypal fees if we use that route. I have asked him to withdraw the cash from his account. i dont know what else to do? After Tims advice i'm reluctant to accept paypal....

Let me know if you plan to come here. I have doubts that I will be able to get it out of the transporter's warehouse in weekend, but if you wait until Monday we can do the deal. Regards, John
  14. Ha ha good idea. I'll get back to him!
  15. Ok will do mate, i'll ring my bank tomorrow and see what can be done. I don't wanna get screwed!
  16. I know what your saying. The guy is coming from Maghull in Merseyside so not far from me. I'll probably get the remaining cash checked out at the bank too. He asked if i knew anyone who could accept a credit card payment or if i have paypal, but they charge 2.4% and thats alot of cash! Ive never heard of a credit card cheque before, if he cant get one of them, can he do a balance transfer?
  17. yeah i know, but i fancy playing games with him. Idiots like this deserve abuse!
  18. I was scanning the autotrader and found a stupidly cheap Focus RS so i thought i'd email the guy, heres his reply: Hello, The Ford Focus RS is still available for the price of 7.000 GBP. It is in excellent overall condition, accident free, no scratches. Also it is free of any bank liabilities. I have moved to Croatia and the car is here with me as well, but the transport back is already set. The car is still registered in UK, has UK plate numbers and is a Right Hand Drive version. I was advised by a local dealer to advertise it on autotrader.co.uk because it's mainly targeted to customers in UK, where I have to sell it, due to the right steering wheel. I signed with a local transport company to use their services. The car is on their warehouse already. They will also offer us third party protection. Payment will be made to their trustee bank account held in UK or Croatia. How it works: they hold your money until you receive and inspect the merchandise. I signed for a 5-day inspection period. In this period you can test the car and if you are not pleased with it, your money will be returned to your account and they will deliver it back to me, free of charge. They are also specialized in vehicle transactions and will provide full needed logistic and legal support upon our deal. I prefer this method because I am not able to deal personally due to new job. I hope you understand and I am waiting for your reply if you decide to go forward. Thank you, John Coleman Let the games begin!! anyone any suggestions?
  19. Ive agreed a price to sell the Zed, however he would like to pay for part payment via his credit card. Ive agreed that i would only release the car once payment has cleared. Obviously i aint a business, how can he pay for the car with his credit card? Can he do a balance transfer or something straight into my account?
  20. I think I have shortish legs and long body, so the legroom is ok for me. It's the VX220 Turbo I'm looking at, so much quicker than the Elise. I possibly would have an Elise if it wasn't for the stupid K series engine popping its gasket every few miles Imrans VX was red But as he couldn't sell it, he's probably changed it to blue now as a "disguise". Not that it'll make much difference.

Unless of course you want a crash damaged car.
  22. I have a mate who is doing up his brothers Pulsar and all I can say is they are fast as f00k! We went out in it when it had a bent cam and I think it would compeletly blow away the Zed. This Pulsar was kicking out around 350BHP apparently when running properly and in the wet there definately would be no contest due to 4WD. I had a play with a RS4 the first week I had the Zed, and it really showed how much playing with people is down to the drivers and not the car. He hammered away from the lights, but once we hit some twisties I cought him up and overtook him. He was definately trying, but that car should have blown me away. Also had a bit of a drag with a Carrera on the way to V festival at the weekend. I was amazed at how little distance he pulled to 70MPH, then he took off over speeds I was willing to do. Astonished as the GT3 I saw at Bedford was stupily quick! The Pulsar Gti-r are one of the quickest accelerating modified cars so no surprise their, i just find them butt ugly I had abit of a tussle with a new Alfa Brera V6 the other day and found it pretty easy. I thought he'd be quicker anyway. I also had abit of a drag with a Carrera too but it was very even. I was following and he didnt pull away at all which surprised me too. With the sheer weight of the Zed it struggles accelerating, especially from stand still but once upto speed i find it pretty formidable, and punches above its weight.
