  1. That is in effect what McLaren have been fined for? I don't find that funny. What i meant was that surely De La Rosa and Alonso have broken the McLaren company policy on data protection?
  2. Given the evidence, could Mclaren still punish Alonso and De la Rosa for breaking company policy (i'm guessing they have one on data protection etc..) and possibly fine and sack them for blackening/damaging the McLaren name? Its surprising how involved De la Rosa./Alonso was, yet they go unpunished?
  3. I think Alonso told the FIA so that he wouldn't be punished. He obviously knew what he had done and knew he'd be found out so snitched on the team so he would still be in the race for the championship. funny thing is, he must have known this information at the start of the season yet Hamilton didnt and still kicked his arse haha

    o my god!!!

Haha, glad you enjoyed it. The Zed is a brilliant car, ive been lucky enough to have blasts in my mates Porsche Boxter S back to back with my Zed a few times and the Zed has soo much more character.
  5. what a disgrace for the sport! To do that at such a crucial stage of the championship.. its been one of the closest seasons ive seen for a while with regards to the constructors and drivers championships and ive been watching all the races with great interest because of it, however this has just blown everything out of the water and i feel Ferrari have once again got their own way in F1... I feel that the punishment is very harsh. Next season may be even worse for Hamilton.. if McLaren decide to pull out he wont have a car....

    Cosworth Plenum

Now thats a proper engineered plenum! well it looks like one anyway, i'm sure Cosworth know what their doing. +3 on the price
  7. This isn't a very technical answer but it could need the diff oil changing. How many miles has the car done, possibly be the clutch if its done a fair few miles.
  8. We'll get you a girl if it kills us! haha
  9. Welcome and good luck looking for a Zed!
  10. Welcome mate, glad you've managed to join up. If you have any questions just fire away! The Z sounds even better when decatted!
  11. Hi Mate, welcome! Ive just sold my Zed and looked/test drove the VX220 around 2-3 weeks ago as a replacement. As much as i loved the VX it was for me too hardcore as an everyday drive. it did have its faults like you mentioned above which put me off but namely it was the build quality and getting in and out the damn thing. I'm no spring chicken but i aint overweight and i struggled getting out of the thing. Getting in was fine as you slip in the seat but as the doors don't have convienience hinges i had told hold the door with my head as i was getting out. Not good if i was in a car park spot. haha. The seats were like sitting on a piece of wood with cardboard wrapped round it, thats how i described how cushioned they where anyway.. Thats not to say they are all bad points as i liked the quikiness and how it looked in the flesh. I had to give it some serious thought on whether i'd get one or not but in the end i went for something else. The 350z will be completely different, it will be like sitting in a limo compared to the VX, but you also feel its weight alot more when braking and cornering. The Zed's ride is much smoother than the VX's and doesn't crash over bumps like the VX does. I'd say the Zed is a slightly quicker car on anything other than a track due to its torque. I felt the VX engine was rather revvy and peaky and lacked alittle low down grunt. This could have been because i'd jumped from the Zed straight into the VX but i expected more from a 2.2 in a lightweight car... What i will say is that they are both Great cars, but very different to drive. Everyone has different tastes but i think you'll enjoy the Zed. Although heavier its very balanced and great to drive. What i think you'll like more is the ownership experience. The servicing costs are pretty reasonable and you have the friendliest bunch of people on here to give advice, chat, laugh and help with any problems that you may have. It was one of the reasons i didnt want to get rid of my Zed... Good luck anyway. The next thing to do would be to get an extended test drive... lol
  12. Yes, it did - very strange paint job. Plus, it didn't sound like any Zed I've ever heard, also no sign of additional air intakes at the front Does anyone know how to run the german Number plate and fid out what its registered as? Not that i'm that bothered but you'll find out what it is. Loving the paint Job
  13. C'mon mike give him a chance to reply! Glad you had a good one mate!

Seems cheap for a P3 to me. Mine was nearer the £300 mark. Well i got my L2 for about £150. My next service was an L3 and i got quote along with a leaflet with the set prices on stating the L3 was £185. I think this is only for cars that are out of warranty though, hence my original question about whether his car is in warranty. Infact its here: http://www.chorleynissan.co.uk/Aftersal ... ffers.html So your ZED is 4 cylinder???? Watch the small print! Well thats what they charged me...could have been a mistake i guess but i spoke to them a few times and they all quoted me the same price. If your really interested in getting your service done there, just ring em and find out yourself. its worth a phone call.

Oh well, at Chorley Nissan (wigan branch) they have set prices for servicing. L1 is about £120, L2 around £150 and L3 around £185. It may be worth ringing around and finding prices from other garages near you, or even coming to wigan, may save you around £40 once you've paid your petrol... I got a courtesy car last time and used £10 worth of their diesel oops..
