  1. Doesnt cost that much when Uncle phil looks after you I should hope so the full ballast set with 2 xenns where going for less than that on fleebay. although used.
  2. Powerstation also do some trick suspension which was honed at the Nurburgring. They even won the Time attack with there scooby. The points you mention are also the reason why i opted for the STi and not the EVO, servicing schedules where much better too. Litchfields know there stuff. We where on track with an FQ360 and it wasnt exactly fast. I kept up with him for a few laps. Just shows that its the driver that counts.
  3. Its a common problem and im thinking its the same problem as in the thread. Nothing to worry about. If your still concerned take it to the dealers and have it looked at.
  4. He's easily pleased. We should just organise a night out round manchester saying that the Londoners let us down..
  5. Not met dan but Jays as sound as a pound. He's as camp as they come though and i still dont like him. Plus he only fights girls..
  6. Your the BEST brother in the world!
  7. They are similar, although handle very differently. Ive driven classic shape turbo, driven the TME and owned an Sti 8... Your obviously someone who has taken sides, i wouldnt mind either of them.
  8. lol, ive seen this before. Animal testing at its best
  9. You ultimate Whore +1 thats commmitment on a sad scale!
  10. Litchfields type 25. although the older one. I like what he says at the end about supercar ownership.
  11. Yes mate, for my Dc5. IM guessing the UTECH is along the similar lines. I dont know if its supported as well as the HONDATA though.
  12. Nice, i wouldnt get the RA-R its even more hardcore than the spec c. Type 25 is meant to be a supercar eater. someone i know is selling his car here: http://www.performance-centre-manchester.co.uk/stocklist.php Its the white spec c type RA model. Heres what he said: it has more constant torque levels, bigger brakes and more comfier seats than the RA-R. He's actually selling it for a MUGEN RR I had a black STI 8 with prodrive alloys, prodrive suspension with upgraded discs and pads running approx 330-340bhp. If you can live with the image then you'll be blown away by the performance especially when you do some slight breathing mods. the 4WD and diffs are really wierd to drive at first but once you get used to it you can get some good 4wheel drifts going and find that its nearly as easy to get the back end out as it is in the Zed. Solid cars as well as i found out
  13. i maybe getting a DC2 for a weekend/trackday car. Donnington wet my appetite. thinking of buying a bike for the daily chore or a diesel or something.
  14. I may come along to this in my new car will have to see.
  15. Anglesey is a nice little tight circuit. it does get alittle windy being so close to the coast but its nice to drive on. You definately need an open pitlane for this track though. Was the ariel atom supercharged?
  16. Sinbad, Does your DC5 torque steer when you give it some beans - a friend has one (just imported) and it's virtually undriveable when laying down the power - cant keep it in a straight line? Sorry for the hijack Graham No it doesnt torque steer as such, i do find that the diff likes to wonder on uneven roads though. On flat surfaces i dont have any problems, where with torque steer you'd still get the car pulling to one side. Tell him to get a Fast road setup, its meant to work wonders, especially if he gets a set of springs too. For me the ride was the worst thing on the car, brakes are by far better then the 350 and my previous STi. I just sold my CAT-Back exhaust today and the car sounds lifeless If he's looking to mod it, tell him i have a KPRO for sale, the cheapest he'll find anywhere im sure. Yeah he seems to be having the problems on the B roads - thanks for that. Whats a KPRO? I'll let him know. Yeah it does wonder abit on b-roads, anything uneven really. Maybe worth telling him to get the tracking done. I found the DC5 to be selective on tyres too, so if he hasnt got "E" marked tyres on or there pretty worn id get him to swap them. Goodyear F1's (german made ones) are meant to be the best all round tyre for the DC5. Ive had AVS sports, Bridgestones 050A's, Bridgstone RE010R's and Hankook RS'2's which have all been very good with the last two being more of a dry tyre. KPRO is a mappable ecu made by Hondata and regarded as one of the better ecu's if not the best ecu to have especially for a fast road car. S2000's, DC5's and EP3's can all use them. They retail at around £750 before mapping. obviously mines abit cheaper than that.

  18. Im surprised that the extra breathing from induction, intake manifold, and full exhaust wouldnt be worth getting an ECU. I know its different but on my honda which is already pushing 110bhp/litre in standard form fitting an aftermarket ecu made a massive difference, not just in power/torque but in driveability and fuel consumption. Im surprised that something like the zed which doesnt have the highest tuned engine 80bhp/litre isnt cost effective to get a aftermarket ecu without FI. btw - my ecu is in the region of ~£1100 setup and ~£150 per tune (2 hours) I understand the OEM ecu is safe even with all the extra breathing, but why spend £200-£300 on an intake manifold, ~£700 on an exhaust, ~£300 on sports cats and ~£200 on an intake to not get the full benefit of them by uprating ecu...
