  1. paid £54, ayyye thanngyow!! bargain. i'm gonna have a go at fitting them myself. If the monkeys at the stealers can fit them, so can i. Can't be that hard and iat least i will take more care doing it! Just hope i don't have to remove the bumper, eek! anyone bought any spray paint before for the 350z? I have a grey one. Whats the best place to get it, is it halfrauds? Anyone know what colour primer best to use, white, pink or grey? Thanks in advance. Looking forward to a beeping back end, haha Regards Rob
  2. I know they look greta but theres lots more things i would rather spend the 60 quid on when i can get the burgers for free. Unless of course you know anyone who wants to sell me a pair for cheap
  3. The Z badges are £30 each with is far too much for 2 plastic badges that cost 50p to make, i'd rather just get some standard ones for free from Nissan. i wash it with wash and wax stuff. I have used it for years on all my cars and is very good (and cheap too!) but i have a range of polishing stuff i also use. Don't forget, i have only had the car a fortnight and have only washed it once so i can't vouch for what the previous owner used, however, even something harsh like fairy liquid shouldn't make badges bubble, nitromorse maybe regards Rob
  4. ...noticed yesterday that the silver paint on the badges on the bonnet and boot is bubbling!! Another niggle to add to the list!! Crikey, my S2000 was an angle! I never went back to the dealer once! I'm sure i'll be 110% happy when all the little bits are sorted out though, just want it to be perfect and it should be being an 05 reg still loving it though, the low down grunt is superb! Regards Rob
  5. Depends how much you want for it. My car had a scratch down the drivers side so it's had the kit taken off to be sprayed. I only really need the sill, wing mirror, front wing, arch bits for the one side. Have you got bits for the front bumper aswell? PM me the price you have in mind but i am very skint at the moment due to the purchase of the 350z (worth it though) Regards Rob
  6. are listed in the warranty section, but the list so far off the top of my head.... clicking rear axle noisy clutch release bearing/cover springs pushed the traction control button into the dash (oops) rattle behind the 3 pods in the dash Jumping Bose stereo Arming myself with the technical bullitens ready to go in and do a big warranty claim in one go, but have been advised by a friend (who works for a major japanese car dealership so will remain annonymous) that it's best to take it in around the 25th of the month just before they submit their work sheets to head office. If the work load is down they will do the job lot to up their books ;-) Rob
  7. seems i have the rattle behind the 3 dash pods at the top aswell (noticed it today). Someone on here mentioned it aswell. Anybody found the source of the annoying thing or had this sorted under warranty? i might just try and fix that one myself. still loving it though, niggles and all :-)) Rob
  8. Hi there, I bought the car privately from liverpol. Loving it so far, it's like my old Alfa GTV V6 Aero but without having to worry about what is going to break every time i drive it! Plus its rear wheel drive which is lots better. Still adjusting back to the low end grunt and 6700 redline as opposed to my s2000s no grunt but ballistic 9000rpm screaming red line! Would love to come on the 15th but unfortunately i'ts my girlftriends 30th and i am in spain visiting her relatives. Regards Rob
  9. Hi all, I bought an RAC Trackstar Tracker before i bought my 350z to try and help with my insurance (was going to buy a Z3 M roadster which required tracker) but it makes absolutely no difference at all on my policy on the 350z. It is in used condition but is boxed and just requires fitting, which costs approx £70. i am looking for £220 which is very cheap as they retail at £499 fitted, saving of over £200. Any queries PM me, Regards Rob
  10. tell them you have had it inspected by an independant garage and they can confirm that the noise is either the release bearing or the springs in the cover, so they should replace those two. Make a point of telling them that the clutch itself is fine qand doesn't slip (so they can't play the 'you've hammered it' approach). At the end of the day, mine has only done 13k on an 05reg so theres no way it should be rattling, neither should yours. Let me know how you get on and i will do the same. Don't let the stealers win! Rob
  11. i'm just off the a56 in sale near sainsburys, i've got a silver/grey 05 reg with black leather. I saw you the other day, yours looks very nice. Where's the nearest dealer then? i'm going to go down and have a polite whinge! regards Rob
  12. I have just got an 05 UK gt and have a few issues. Is it ok to just drive into the dealership and tell them to do the work because it is under 3 years old? Here are a list of things i need doing (i'm picky)... BOSE stereo jumps - apparently common clicking rear axle - again common clutch cover or release bearing noisy - quite common, needs sorting, car only done 13k and clutch fine! ESP button pushed into the dash the first time i tried to turn it off!! steering wheel slightly off centre (incorrect tracking at the factory) rattle behind the dash in the centre - annoying! If i go in and give them the list will they just check that it's all true and fix the niggles even though the car is second hand? Let me know your successes with similar issues. It would be nice to get them all sorted so i can just enjoy the driving! Regards Rob
  13. I have now had my 05 gunmetal with black leather uk 350z for over a week and loving it. It's got the GT pack with the rays wheels etc and has only done 13k. It's completely different to the s2000 i have just sold so can't really compare, but i love the effortless power delivery rather than the constant sweaty palmed drive i have been used to. Anyway, just thought i'd say hello. I'll be posting a question or 6 on the warranty forum coz i have a number of points i want to get sorted!! So any help/advice on this would be appreciated. Are warranties transferable? i suppose as it's an 05 reg car i would simply drive into the dealers and start showing them what to fix? Regards Rob
