  1. Z is same story in 6th, doesnt go anywhere either @ 70 in 6th and flooring it Put it in 3rd dough and it flies
  2. WOW IMPRESSED Even if i had the money/guts to do this to my Z, I would never get it road-legal here in Belgium with all those mods, stupid laws here
  3. Can some one ban him please. Oh no, the forum post bot doesn't like me anymore
  4. And who would want to buy THAT Z with so many NICE colours to choose from
  5. Wasnt there a problem with this one? That you had to remove the strut brace in order to install it? And carbon fibre isnt transparent you know
  6. Can bus : some communication system running through your car (basically, a very long stretch of cables ) which allow the computer(s) in your car to communicate and to steer the stuff in the car.
  7. So you are gonna install a transparent bonnet now?
  8. The Z3 was a ladies car the Z3 M Coupe was a mans car, the Z4 Roadster is arguably a ladies car, the Z4 M coupe is a bearded axe swinger raw meat eating drinks petrol from the pump mans car! Or a lady who wants to be a mans car! Could you explain me then: What makes a Z3 a ladies car and a Z3 M Coupe a mans car?
  9. But they measure those using 'coast-down' method and I think that is dubious. During coast-down, the engine is disengaged from the drivetrain, so if for example, you did a run and measured coast-down at say 40Hp; then bolted a supercharger on, did a run and measured coast-down again it would still be 40hp, so the transmission losses would be the same. That cannot be correct? Yes it is, its what you say, transmission losses, so the losses AFTER you "quit" the engine compartment. It does not need to count losses inside the engine itself.
  10. Normally they can also measure transmission losses on a dyno, as to calculate correct crank hp. The M3's hp i was referring to was crank-hp
  11. 250 rear-wheel horsepower you mean. The numbers given by any manufacturer are cranck hp. I saw some dynoruns of a Z on the German forum and the crankshaft hp is quite accurate. With transmission losses you end up with 250 hp on the wheels
  12. If its the M3 engine, take it with a grain of salt. BMW claimed 343hp for its E46 M3. I ve seen some runs on a dyno, there isnt one single one out there that actually produces those 343 horses Most of them are at least 20 horses short of that number

    Help!

You bought a sports car, and you complain about the suspension being too stiff, heavy gearbox, heavy steering, and lack of storage space? The difference between one car and another is a bit more than just the shape and the engine, you know Sell it and get a BMW 320D
  14. Sound clips usually are crap. Depends too much on the recording volume, the position of the mic etc etc. And we all know a car sounds 100 times cooler when being pushed on full load, then when just revving in neutral

    TT mk.2

Its a very good car imho, as fast as the Z but less sporty, more "audi-safe", so its up to what you are looking for. All comparing reviews i read so far claim the Audi is the "better" car, but the Z is the more exciting one. All depends on what you want i guess And in the wet the TT will drive circles around the Z imho I went from a Mk1 TT 180hp (well, 210 ) FWD to the Z, and the Z is more fun to drive imho, but then again, i didnt have quattro.
