  1. yep just faux allen bolts, put them back with a touch of Loctite though Thats soo chav
  2. You really think I'm gonna get my paintwork scratched by having some girl draped over the bonnet of the car? If she is that much of a babe, I have other places where she can 'install' herself in skinny clothing
  3. I would go for GM in this case, less dark, since the car isnt black nor white
  4. Dont you have a pic of the entire car in sideview, it would give you a better idea on how it would look If nobody on the forum can help you with the photoshop, i got some colleagues who can.
  5. BTW if not sure, get some pics of the car in sideview and photoshop the color on it
  6. I wouldnt color them. Imho black wheels look nice on black or white cars, or red ones, but not on other colors And i think they look very nice right now
  7. Went to see it yesterday super
  8. Are you crazy? Half of those pics look like Sarnie's car. Not gonna put THAT on my computer

    Here She Is

imho, you did Is that because you don't like their appearance, or because they are leather? I dont like alezan
  10. Yeah, also my idea. You can use this as a reference, if you want to measure performance gains (or losses ). But you need to always test on the same one. If i m not mistaken Porsche actually tests each car before it leaves the factory to ensure it has the correct amount of hp. Well, the premium you pay to get one should make a difference somewhere
  11. They dont, they just disturb the cables on which the communication happens between ECU and car components
  12. But what you are saying is the exact opposite of what i mean This should lead to MORE hp, and not cancelling out the potential gains. Simplisticly speaking: you do some mods giving your more airflow to the engine and a better airflow out of it, basically the engine revving "more freely" and getting more air/oxygen. This could be detected by the ECU so it could inject more fuel leading to more power, but what i read is that the ECU detects this but does something so that this wont happen, to keep the same amount of power no matter what extra flow is generated. My question is, HOW ???
  13. Ehm, i am not an idiot, i do know what a ECU does you know Now how do you combine "it will readjust to run at its best" with "it will cancel out any potential performance gains" ???? Coz honestly, I dont understand how it can detect that it needs to "tune down" the engine, and how much it needs to tune down in order to give the stock hp again?
  14. I just have some questions concerning some stuff posted about this on the forum Could someone please explain me how the Nissan ECU adjusts itself to compensate for extra hp gains done by modifications like a new exhaust line or intake? And also, I read that putting a Kinetix plenum or spacer does give hp gains, now why wouldnt the ECU compensate for this???
  15. well, the older models (280) all give 250-260 real hp when measured
  16. Hi, I had my completely stock 2006 Z dyno-d the other day to see how much Nissan lies in the given specs, and they do apparently 275 hp at the cranck, and 310Nm. The guy did several 350Z's already, none which got to their listed figures, the other 2006 he did had 270hp, and the older models all had around 260hp. Apparently same story for RX8, S2000 etc, basically all NA engines. E.g. an M3 which is listed at 343hp usually has around 320. The only NA engine manufacturer to have its numbers spot-on is Porsche apparently. For Turbo'd engines the results are much better generally speaking, because they are easier to finetune to get the correct hp (playing with boost pressure). Oh, and above 5k rpm the car was running too rich, but that seems to be happening to all 'stock' cars, so nothing new there. I ll try putting a scan of the run online in a couple of days.
  17. Try selling them in Europe (through ebay or sth), in Europe Rays are not the standard wheels on the Z
  18. Curious to see the torque curve on a standard Z and a standard Z with this fitted
  19. And how does that work in practice? How does it "detect" that you did something to improve the horsepower and how does it know how to downtune to get back to the standard hp??
  20. If the seller says its a Fujitsubo Legalise R exhaust, i think its quite clear which one it is eh
  21. Accepted but better safety systems etc. Tbh, I think if it was me buying my 17yo a car now I'd buy em something with a decent size engine (like a 2.5) so they wouldn't be able to afford to drive as often and a decent size car too so if they did have a smash they'd have a fair bit of metal surrounding them. Just my personal opinion obviously, I've got no stats or anything concrete to back this up Yeah, get him the previous model Audi RS4 avant. 2.7 biturbo and decent size
  22. "Keep your Z from having nasty stone chips" yey Ok, it wont stone-chip, but in the mean time its 1000 times uglier than a Z without this on with stonechips Like covering your leather seats in plastic bags to keep em in good shape (someone gave this example somewhere else on the forum ), you are only doing a favor to the next owner by doing this. I d rather have (and I do ) stonechips than drive around with this on my car
