  1. Another reason not to buy new again when you add this to the horrendous depreciation.
  2. Nice pics Immy. Make sure you give us a write-up once you've test driven it.

  4. Only a woman could make the association between having a dent removed from your car and 3 ton of McDonalds taken out of yer gut Glad you got it sorted though Nic.
  5. Very pleased to hear this encouraging news
  6. A deal was reached yesterday to avoid a breakaway series and reduce the costs of Formula One teams. FIA (Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile) president Max Mosley had been at loggerheads with eight teams who refused to take on a budget cap for the 2010 season. However cost cuts have now been agreed and three new teams – Campos, USF1 and Manor – are scheduled to join next season, with Mosley not seeking re-election as FIA president. “The basic news is that there will be no split. There will be one championship in 2010 which is I think something we all hoped,†Mosley told a news conference following an FIA World Motor Sport Council meeting. “We've reached agreement on a number of items. In particular we've reached agreement on reduction of costs. We've had significant help from the teams. The objective is to get back to early 1990s levels within two years.†Formula One Management president Bernie Ecclestone added: “I'm obviously very, very happy that common sense has prevailed which I've always believed it would because the alternative was not good at all. I'm also I must say very, very, very happy that the teams have come to their senses to stop spending large amounts of money.†Luca di Montezemolo, Ferrari president and head of the Formula One Teams' Association (FOTA), said the 2009 rules will stand next season but talks have brought stability to the sport. Good news that its been settled, even better that Mosley is not running for President next year
  7. It doesn't look a bad car and the mileage is nothing for one of these engines. Depending on how the car has been driven it may need a new clutch fairly soon. You will obviously need to give it usual test of flooring the throttle in a high gear at low revs to see if it slips, but non oem clutches can be purchased now for around £250 - 300. by the way.
  8. The Evora certainly looks good and the GT2 is
  9. The 350 still ticks more boxes for me than the 370. The 350 never feels very fast and according to Tiff, the 370 doesn't feel even as quick. Also, as has already been said, it squirmed like a stuck pig when he came over that yump .
  10. No I certainly wasn't a Yuppie. I used to work for Lotus so was a bit of an enthusiast. Nice one Trev and obviously picking up the chicks in your Lotus then by the looks of things! Yeah good times. Need more than a nice motor to pick em now though
  11. As has been said already the Stig is Ben Collins for the purposes of Top Gear tests, but it could be Shuey when Ferrari want a hot lap or Hamilton when Maclaren want to take part. As awesome as the FXX is, it's not road legal and as such doesn't qualify for the leaderboard. I would guess that is was on slicks as well to get that time.

  13. A few of mine that I've dug out Welsh road rallying in the 70s Built this from a bare shell: Start of the 1986 Welsh International Rally The car I kept the longest so far - 10 years.
  14. Forget trying for more power as has already been said. Just do the induction and exhaust and smile everytime you gun the engine.
  15. I see Briatore told Brundle live on camera today that it was going to happen as far as he's concerned.
  16. Great idea. Also what about gloves that are fingerless?? I thought only tramps had them!
  17. Hi Lyndsey and There's a few female members on here who will no doubt be along soon to say hi.
