  1. Well done Jenson but as has already been said, make the most of it because you are very unlikely to repeat it. Imo, racing drivers fall into one of two categories: truely gifted or talented but need to try harder. Drivers that fall into the first category include, Schumaker, Senna, Prost, Hamilton and possibly Alonso, whereas the second category is where Button comes and also includes the likes of Mansell and Damon Hill for example. There's no disputing that they are all brilliant drivers - just that some are better than others. If Hamilton, Alonso or even Vettel had been in Brawn, the championship would have been decided much sooner imo.
  2. wish i worked for that company!! all i got is a crappy peugeot Van Well it was Lotus after all so I couldn't very well say no could I
  3. Had one of those as a company car - absolutely awesome bit of kit and a few more ponies than Lotus declared.
  4. Very envious, Jay. Have a great time.
  5. I too live out in the sticks and had an encounter with a badger last year. This one, however, was up on it's feet and with a height of about 12-14 inches made a right old imprint in the front of my car Upshot was, new bumper, new slam panel, new washer bottle and new undertray.
  6. As has already been said, not much point in going to the expense of suspension upgrades if you don't won't to benefit from track use or lower ride height. You would possibly be better spending your money on a decent set of tyres such as Pilot Sports.
  7. I thought it was the other way round - the bolt being on the front. You will need to make sure the nuts on the spacers are tight otherwise they will come loose like mine did!! I recommend using either locktight or getting your local garage to do them up with an gun.
  8. A Welsh man buys several sheep, hoping to breed them for wool. After several weeks, he notices that none of the sheep are getting pregnant, and phones a vet for help. The vet tells him that he should try artificial insemination. The farmer doesn't have the slightest idea what this means but, not wanting to display his ignorance, only asks the vet how he will know when the sheep are pregnant. The vet tells him that they will stop standing around and instead will lie down and wallow in grass when they are pregnant. The man hangs up and gives it some thought. He comes to the conclusion that artificial insemination means he has to impregnate the sheep himself. So, he loads the sheep into his Land Rover, drives them out into the woods, has sex with them all, brings them back, and goes to bed. Next morning, he wakes and looks out at the sheep. Seeing that they are all still standing around, he deduces that the first try didn't take, and loads them in the Land Rover again. He drives them out to the woods, bangs each sheep twice for good measure, brings them back, and goes to bed exhausted. Next morning, he wakes to find the sheep still just standing round. Try again. he tells himself, and proceeds to load them up, and drive them out to the woods. He spends all day sha**ing the sheep and upon returning home, falls listlessly into bed. The next morning, he cannot even raise himself from the bed to look out of the window. He asks his wife to look, and tell him if the sheep are lying in the grass. No, she says, they're all in the Land Rover, and one of them is beeping the horn.
  9. Goodyears aren't available in 225/45/18. If you decide to go for the 18's then Pilot Sport 2's are about as good as you'll get but will set you back about £700, or for around £400, Falkens get good write-ups on here.
  10. Name your price Stan. Certainly in the region of £4-500K.

  12. That must be Wessex, Ian. They promised to call me around July/August time for a demo as well. This is just one of the reasons why I won't be buying a Nissan next time I change.
  13. If it's a UK car which it sounds like it isn't then there's something wrong. Mine pulls strongly on track up to about 140 and then build up from there.
  14. Thanks, you could be right. II know there would be power there if I reved it to near its max but prevous 350Z's that I have driven had excellent torque low down and this one didn't.... Has the gearing been changed on the 2007 version as that would go some way to explaining it? Fairly sure it's the same.
  15. It may be that it hadn't fully loosened up yet. I know with mine it definately got quicker after about 12-14k miles.
  16. It could be worst. My neighbour Sandtexed his house a few years ago in lemon yellow and managed to get spots of it all over my black CTR that I had at the time. Sh*t for brains some of em
  17. Best bit for me was all those Japanese girls lining the way up to the drivers rostrum
  18. I certainly meet the old fart critera also and completely agree with what has been said. The problem with this country is most decent folk would welcome much more strict disciplinary measures, but we are all too busy to actually do anything about it.
  19. 5 minutes come and gone Steve
