  1. Thats the big thing about the 370z to me. Its price-point to performance is just not up there like the 350z was. Its a chunk more than the 350z was but are you getting that much a better car.
  2. I would say service it straight away when you get back. When you come to sell it you can explain you were away and serviced it as soon as you got back. It also means when you go to use it again it will all be nicely cleaned out with fresh fluids
  3. Bear in mind that the room will affect the outcome. Even putting a fan in front of the car is no replacement for driving the car, all you are doing is moving warm air around the car. To get a true outcome you need a properly air-coned room that keeps the ambient temp down as well as simulating the moving air. As others have said - the amount you are down is nothing to worry about. BHP is not something to get hung up on. Get out, drive the car. If it feels good thats cool. If not then give it a good service and that should sort it out. Also bear in mind that while some filters/ exhausts may sound better it does not mean you will get a bhp improvement - some will even loose you some.
  4. You will find that the range with DAB is VERY limited. Most companies didn't bother much with as the market was too small. Steering wheel controls is fairly simple - look at the thread in the start of the forum for answers

    petrol!

Everyone knew that would happen, just they would not admit it lol
  6. How close is close? Surely being close to the suspension strut is not an issue as it does not change. Being close to the arch - thats a different matter.

    petrol!

I found when comparing optimax against unleaded that while it cost more I did get a better mpg. It worked out it was about even but that was when petrol was around the 90p/97p mark The thing that supprised me most was the month i kept the tank under a half. This added 2-3mpg overall.
  8. I've just got one of the Brodit pass-through holders to use with my Alpine head unit. For the last few days I have been umming and aarring as to where to put it on the dash. Ideally I want to put it somewhere I can flip it into landscape for using as a Sat-Nav which is a bit of a problem.
  9. While the zenons do auto-adjust they still need to be alighned. I found my lights were way out when I went for my first MOT. It explained why I thought the lights were so crap lol
  10. Take a look at this top guide - http://liljerk.morpheus.net/350Z/dash_removal/
  11. Mic just slips onto the head liner. The liner is very easy to pull down a little to feed the cable along it. The A piller trim - you just need to remove the door rubber and than can pop off. Then the cable can be drawn down to the side of the dash. Zip ti ecable under dash across to center console. Feed into the center console. Job done.
  12. I would not get hung up on the mic wire. I have just put in my Alpine 103BT and it takes less than 5 minutes to put the mic up by the mirror with the cable all hidden. If you went for one with a cable I can highly recommend the 103 unit (replaced by the 113 but its 99.99 the same unit so cheaper to pick up a 103)
  13. I had my belts replaced just before the cold snap. As it started to get colder my belts started to squeal. It ended up they were a bit too loose and the cold weather meant it resulted squealing. What does this mean. If your belts are old its because they are probably stretched and a bit loose. You can either tighten them up a bit (but this may break them) or replace them. If your belts are in good condition just a little tighten up will probably sort them.
  14. Best to email incartec to find out which way round to connect the cables. When I know I will update mu post
  15. Hace you tried the aerial trick I mentioned? (can't help any more for a bit as I am snowboarding)
  16. yup - you don't to cut it just strip back the coating over part, solder on another cable and tape it all up (or heat shrink it)
  17. The one that goes into the head unit and gives you two ISO standard connectors i.e the brown and blackones
  18. Find a nice metal bit of the car - there are a few points around behind the stereo. Generally most screws that go into the chassis will work. Take a wire from that and then cut into the black ground cable in the ISO loom and connect it up. Have you tried putting in the aerial (this is only good for a check) - this should provide enough ground to get the unit on. Those connections look about right
  19. Have you spliced in an extra ground lead to the ISO lead?
  20. Doh - good spot on the type - will fix that now
  21. See my post in the other forum - email ICT
  22. Might be worth emailing ICT about this as i thought the 3 bare wires should have a connector on the end (to connect to the one you have left) these are for the steering controls tho so won't affect the unit not working. Incartec Sales
  23. Does the ICT loom not have three white connectors. Also look above at my comment about ground its probably the main reason you have nothing
  24. The three white cables plug into the cables that you removed from your BOSE head unit
