  1. That ice track is a blast. I can appreciate the trouble they had with spinning on it lol - Heres my attempt...
  2. I'm looking for the fast connection. I regular maxed out a 13MB connection previously
  3. What loom did they give you? Unfortunately its not cheap to connect a head unit to the BOSE system. Note the extra warning about volume levels if you think its a bit quiet - you may need extra boosters, unfortunately you can't tell till you connect your head unit as its all down to the output levels of your head unit.
  4. I think this is the cue for my old thread - Take a look at viewtopic.php?f=27&t=16403 There is a loom, which one depends on whether you want to retain your steering wheel controls or not.
  5. luckily I am on the fibre optic network if i wanted to go the virgin route.
  6. The Phorm thing is an interesting one - baring it being illegal nothing wrong with the concept - you get similar when you go on google i.e. the ads are taylored to what searches you do - when you go to many sites the adverts are tailored to the products which match the type of area you are reading etc. After nearly convincing myself O2 are the ones to go for (via quidco) i've just seen Virgin are about to reduce to XXL 50MB down to 28 which means I would only be paying a fraction more than I currently am but would be able to do much more i.e. backup all my photos online reliably (local backup is fine but if there was a fire). Thoughts thoughts
  7. YEY I'm right. While it is a Nissan looms unfortunately its not the Nissan 350z loom, its the Primera/Almera/Terrano loom. You need Without Steering Controls Either Autoleads PC2-76-4 or ICT 20-134 With Stering Controls : ICT 29-645 + Appropriate HU Adapter. For more info take a look at viewtopic.php?f=27&t=16403
  8. Always found my Canon IXUS to be great. Given a lot of knocks and has lasted years. Numerous member of family have them. Also great after service. One went wrong after 5 years due to a known fault and it was replaced with a current model refurb i.e. at the time a 2MP camera to a 8MP camera for free!
  9. Sorry not for me. Shame they could not apply it without distorting the weave lines
  10. Be use O2 lines and hardware but are still being run as a separate company (no plans to merge the companies as far as I know)
  11. Virgin are no good due to their bandwidth limiting & shaping. To get around that you have to go for the XXL package which is £35 vs Skys £15.
  12. OK - Any recommendations on which supplier to go with. Has to be one of the three as I am looking for an LLU ADSL2+ supplier. Moving away from Bulldog (Pipex/Tiscali) as they have now limited my connection from what I had before. Sky looks good as its truely unlimited and best price for the 20MB O2 - Can get due to my iPhone contract Be - Know they do 24MB and heard good things but more expensive.
  13. Looking at it more I think you have got a loom for a Primera/Almera/Terrano so you have the wrong one
  14. Im a gut now am I lol As for the connection - can't really see cause the pics are a bit blury just where you need to see all the pins indents etc. Any chance of any more with a macro mode on? What make/model of adapter is it? Autoloeads/ICT/Connect2?
  15. Depending on your NCB it might be worth seeing if you can agree to do it between the two of you. Although its not an at fault claim the insurance companies still manage to screw you over for it. Are your insurance company expecting you to pay an excess or pay it and then claim it back? If so then you should be able to go directly to the other guys insurance company with the claim - then you don't have to shell out at all
  16. Only works with your main lights on. The lights also get a showering ever 3? times you use the washers on the main windscreen
  17. Did that work before or have you never tried it before?
  18. If you are getting a new one some of the newer Alpines might be worth a look. The W404 looks quite good although the W407 looks very interesting. It does not suffer of the same problems you have described from what I have seen
  19. I wouldn't say that. I would say a majority of HD channels show mostly HD i.e. BBC HD, Discovery HD are 100% HD As for the question about the new EPG and Sky+ boxes. I would put money on them never porting the EPG to the old boxes. I am pretty sure they actually use a little bit of the extra resolution of the HD box as on SD screens the menus are noticably harder to use
  20. It all comes down to what you watch. If you like your sports and movies then its great. If you don't then its probably not with it IMO. Discovery HD etc is great but not worth the money. Watching Prem matches in HD is much better than SD specially on large screens, I even notice it on my smaller 32" LCD. At first you 'may' not think its much better but after sitting watching HD for a few hours when you switch back to SD thats when you really noticed it.
  21. Not sure what secret codes your talking about? You only need to run a 2nd cable if they are going from Sky to Sky+HD. If you already have Sky+ then you are fine. I bought my HD box of ebay and just plugged it in, phoned up Sky to get HD enabled and its been fine ever since. Just today I also cabled up a 2nd HD box myself by just running a cable from the LNB.
  22. Surely the value of the car would be the cost of the car + getting all the mods done as they are all such custom mods, otherwise whats the point of getting the mods insured? (as opposed to just notifying about them) I also wonder how much more the mods are over the cost from Nissan i.e. are Cosworth Internals actually more than Nissan parts are full after market part price as I know things like alloys they are priced way way above market price.
  23. OK I will have a stab at answering this one. First off personally I would go for a Alpine over JVC any day of the year, specially if your after a good quality sounding unit. Keep an eye out for the new Alpine W407 which is just about to be released which looks good) Ignoring that i think what the confusion here is the 'normal' ipod cables do not have video capability in them (Because these need special apple stuff and they need to pay Apple royalities on them) but if you get one of the cables for iPod Video you would still get the audio part i.e. For certain Alpine For iPod Audio Playback you can use the standard iPod interface - KCE-433iV. For iPod Video & Audio Playback you need the KCE-435iV For JVC For iPod Audio Playback you can use the standard USB interface on the unit. For iPod Video & Audio Playback you need the KS-U30 Cable
  24. If they are willing to cover like for like why do you need more cover? - surely that means they will replace your car with one with the same parts thus if you had an accident the cost of replacing the car would ne the normal car cost + all the extra mod costs? (As I am guessing autotrader is not going to have a car of similar spec to value it against)
