  1. Arse - been wanting one of these for ages
  2. Just wondered if Dan ever got back to you about this spoiler?
  3. No way is that audio system that much. Unless they went with Alpine F1 (and if it was you would remove it from the car before selling) then its no way cost that much. Well unless someone really saw them coming.
  4. Have to say - had my best powder day ever there - dropping off the back on the long off piste section was emense. PS - Burton board is good - someone buy it
  5. Apre is not awesome but still god few pubs/bars around. Clubs god knows. I'm there to play in the powder . I really enjoyed it, the fact I have been a few times helps also with my cousin who was there for a season meant he knew where we could drop off and were safe and able to get back to resort etc. Can be busy but last season in march was not too bad. The design is also very clever that there are easy and hard ways down from most places. Also the queues for lifts are sooo much better than europe. Would go there over europe any day of the week (except while the Olympics is there) Tignes/Val D would be my next fav resort tho. 2ft of powder overnight in April a couple years ago was insane.
  6. Powdercoating on the normal Rays will be fine. I'll normally take a couple days but it depends how busy etc they are and how they work. All the problems in the US are around powdercoating the new GT4 alloys. There have been a large number of failures with these being powdercoated.
  7. Great comment. IMO THE biggest piece of advice if you are going to buy kit is for boots try EVERYTHING on and go for what feels best. I would not recommend buying till you have tried it but once you want to buy the kit just get what feels right. Ignore what they look like because when your feet are killing you at the top of the mountain you won't give a toss what they look like. Also if the ones that fit best are £50 more go for them. £50 across a few holidays is nothing and you only need to have one or two bad days and you've lost £50 in holiday. Just about to pay off our group holiday in a couple weeks. Got 17 of us going this time. Hopefully get another last minute one in March some time. Going to be a come down going back to europe after Whislter but hey ho.
  8. Sat Nav I was quite impressed with TomTom. Tested it running right next to the TomTom520 which is a mid range unit. It lagged lightly behind i.e. 20ish meters but other than that I found it as good as the stand alone. Even tho the screen is smaller I found it actually easier to read due to being so crisp and clear.
  9. It won't screw up your phone. Worst case you need to restore back to a fresh 3.1.2 and resync but thats nothing out the norm.
  10. Take a look at http://purplera1n.com/ Used it on my girlfriends 3G(S) and it worked straight away - can't get it working on my 3G tho
  11. Seen this a couple times on the road. Think its been treated quite well as saw him once coming up the A34 and he joined just as we went past. We were going around 70 and expected him to come pass but we went away from him. 2nd time he was also taking it easy ~70ish (could be screwed but doubt it)
  12. Best website I have found for streaming http://www.myp2p.eu/broadcast.php?match ... art=sports Always has all the prem league games from somewhere
  13. Loving the VSpec colour - really dark purpley
  14. In terms of an all in one i can recommend the Kenwood DNX5240BT. It has Garmin navigation, Parrot bluetooth and is a fairly good head unit. Value for money its the best around.
  15. What size are tweeters? Not sure but 1" ones can normally be made to fit the surround Do they run off the headunit or pre-outs to a slaved amp? They run off the head unit or BOSE amp if you have one What is the rating (ohm and RMS/peak) SOD ALL lol Even run of the mill replacements are a step up] Where are the crossovers? They are built into the amp Are the bose better than Rainbow CMX 265 (kick varient if i remember correctly)? Very very much doubt it Sub woofer - Size? I have a JL V12W3D4 - would it fit? ( is it worth it) Also equaly output rating? And ran off head or are there pre-outs to a slave amp? A 12" will not fit the stock location no. IMO its not worth replacing the sub without replacing the amp as well. Head Unit output a special level (its between line level and phono) to the BOSE amp i.e. a sod to interface with but there are modules to do it
  16. Its not a function of the head unit but of the BOSE amp. There is talk on the US forums of being able to disconnect the mic and replace it with a resistor so it just things its a constant background noise but you would need to check the forums as it could go horribly wrong if its done wrong
  17. Currently there is no interface around to use the existing Mic & Controls. They are rendered useless once you go aftermarket. It may be possible if you are very good with eletronics to get it working but I have not heard of anyone getting it to work yet
  18. Good first effort. Few tips.. Trim the carbon when its 'green' this is probably after around an hour or so once the resin has really started to go off. Nice sharp stanley and it will be a 5 minute job. Get the old wet and dry and out smooth out the resin and then re-resin it, then polish it... OR Drop the panel off at your local bodyshop and ask them to give it a coat of lacquer and it will come up a treat.
  19. I've had quite a bit of success using Handbrake for ripping DVDs
  20. Love the lounge/diner. Guessing that bits an extension.
  21. Something does not look right about that loom - Have you cut any of it? If its a ICT 29-674 it should look this like
  22. All you do is plug the Phono connectors from the loom into the head unit? Does your ICT loom not have Phono adapters?
  23. This is not the case any more ICT (now Autoleads) have got a loom which takes the RCA output and converts it for you. Its an all in one loom which does RCA input and has steering wheel control as well If you look at the insutrction for the ICT loom you have bought you should see it will say connect up the RCA connectors to the head unit.
