Not sure why they are like that, but thats the way HKS deisnged it

The original is pretty good, there is a well know knock off whch goes by the brand X02 that seems to rust easily but I dont know if this is an X02 or a different copy. I'd pay a bit extra & get a K1 from phil

Nope. Its just a little black cover. Mine has been through 2 MOTs without it & its been off for well over a year

You may have to modify a black bracket on the RHS though. From memory we had to cut mine to fit around the back box. I ended up removing mine though
