Just saw a stunning black coupe with what looked like a titanium exhaust drive past my office window

What you basing that on Bennet? I ask as 4" was picked after research - in fact 4" is considered border line too big for an N/A LS engine - apparently the performance drops of dramatically if the pipes are to big. 4" was used as it's as big as you can go N/A but is also fine for first stage SC. This is because the engine was developed for the American market and has the CAT's and numerous silencers to keep it legal over there - this creates high back pressure that the designers took into account on the LS3 - This is just what we have been told by tuners and doing some research. If we are wrong the Zorst has not been built yet so we can easily upgrade to 5" now for very little cost - Best get it right now I think Bennett means tail pipe size not exhaust size 4" is huge though! Mines only 3"

Front mount? What front mount? Its stock sir May need raising a bit, subframe is pretty low Really need an arch roll on the rear (Hopefully calipers will get fitted today!) Engine is being picked up Tuesday/Wednesday & will then be instantly trial fitted. We are starting to worry a little bit about the room available so may have some custom fab at the front to get everything in. Still on course to be done in time for Japfest

Removed from an 80k mile 2003 350z £50 + delivery

2JZ 350Z subframe. This is for a LHD car so the mounting tabs will need to be swapped around. £150+delivery

Fans, Radiator & aircon rad off my 2003 350Z in full working order when it was removed £100 + Delivery or can be collected from South Wales

No plans to do that. The 2JZ is heavier but nobody seems to be able to give a definitive answer as to how much heavier. I've spoken to a few guys in the middle east who have done the conversion & they reckon that the chassis handles it brilliantly so with my OTT suspension setup I'm hoping it will be good

I think I would prefer a forged vq than std internals 2jz, even if it did cost near similar. I wonder if Ian would have taken this route if he didnt already have the 2jz to hand? If I didn't have a 2jz to hand this build would never have happened - I'd be driving a r33 gtr I've been quite lucky that I've managed to make a lot of money back by selling supra parts so I've not put that much of my own money into it. To do a basic 2jz swap your looking at around £12k and that's before brakes and suspension

I think a TT setup would be cheaper 2jz prices are on the up unfortunately

I'm guessing you've not rolled your arches then? That's what you're looking for Not yet - its getting done soon though Wider tyres and a lower profile with rolled arches soon

The rear wheels are already tucked just pushing it around the workshop its rubbing the arches Still have plenty of adjustment left aswell Running Cusco street Zero coilovers

Update time Engine is pretty much done & should be back at the end of this week Popped up last night and took a few pics now that the suspension is settled. The front will drop a bit more once theres an engine in there Hopefully next week should see some real progress being made

The uniqueness is something that is keeping me going at the moment. I do have an update on my car at today though which I will update tomorrow

Its so frustrating waiting for other people I have no idea how you are waiting this long, I would be pulling my hair out after a couple of months! Is it a case of putting it to the back of your mind, or are you enjoying the process of the build as much as the finished article? With my project I stopped enjoying it ages ago, unfortunately I'm past the point of no return so have to carry on with it. I have good days and bad days with my build at the moment Some days I just want to set fire to the garage and claim the insurance

Would you be interested in the Morell tweeters? Tried sellling as a combo previously with little serious response. How much would you want with the tweeters?

Are you mounting yours on the outside of the binnacle as per the pics? I was planning on mounting mine inside the binnacle in a recess but youve just given me an alternative idea
