  1. PROGRESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Block now fits :scare:
  2. Yeah it was "the look" that told me not to pursue a 34
  3. I wear the trousers when shes not around
  4. I don't think it will be sold at all TBH After a chat with the mrs tonight, she didn't seem too impressed with my plan when "we could be saving to move in together"
  5. I'd say its highly unlikely my car will be ready in time I should know for certain by the end of next week but my ticket will probably be available in exchange for a donation to the club

    Stock Seats Wanted

Ive got a pair of leather alezan ones for sale
  7. Thats the thing though, its like a month from completion - Do i finish it and use it for a while and just advertise it for sale or just sell up before I finish? I really want to finish it but at the same time, I really want/need another R34
  8. So I have a bit of a dilemma I have an opportunity to get back into a R34 GTR for a reasonable price but would mean breaking this project or finishing it and selling it as soon as its finished Part of me wants to break it How would I even value something like this? I wouldn't even know where to begin
  9. Got the link for speed hunters? http://www.speedhunters.com/2015/02/mercury-formula-drift-z33-2jz/
  10. I'm way ahead of you at £23k but that's brakes & suspension also. I've been lucky to recoup more than £15k in sales aswell so by the end it will have cost me less than £10k of my own money
  11. £10K would be just for the engine conversion. You'd be running standard suspension and brakes. There are plenty of other ways to cut the cost of that 10K down some by using cheaper parts. On the plus side, £10K will get you 700+ hp with a 2JZ
  12. If you can get hold of a healthy 2JZ then I reckon you could do the whole lot of parts for under 10K. My build cost a lot more due to having a broken 2JZ that we ended up forging and its turned out to be more expensive to use a 350Z gearbox than we first thought.
  13. 1000000000 Seriously though, its cheaper to rebuild a VQ and go TT than it is to do a 2JZ swap. At a minimum you need 2JZ engine Wiring Loom Subframe Engine mounts Custom gear box mounts & adaptor plate, flywheel and clutch (If using 350Z box) Supra gearbox & prop shaft (If using supra box) A single turbo conversion due to lack of space (Twins will fit but its VERY tight) Custom down pipe & exhaust FMIC with custom piping custom hoses for the radiator and cooling system new hoses to reroute the fuel system Custom hoses for things like the power steering tank either a race tech dash or the convertors to convert your speedo to work with the supra engine ECU A @*!# load of wiring work to get everything talking to each other and a lot of patience Also bear in mind, that the only off the shelf conversion kit is designed for a LHD car I know how much I have in this car down to the last penny & it would never have gone ahead if I didnt have a Supra to break to make money back
  14. Yeah I've seen that car on speedhunters, Unfortunately their budget is much bigger than mine
  15. Theres no room for underpowered V6s in this thread
  16. Typical action day unfortunately and the reason I would never track my car at these events. Way to many idiots out there who dont care
  17. We need to get a non VQ 350Z meet on the go once they are completed
  18. As usual with the Zupra. Its one step forward two (hundred) steps back I bought some new injectors as the 800cc ones I have wont be big enough The engine is back & ready to be assembled Nicely done head The bottom half has even been test fitted (This will be painted before being fitted to the car!) As you can see though, the engine sits a bit further forward due to our use of the 350Z box over a Supra box which in turn means it doesn't line up with our motor mounts - Lesson learnt here is that my mate should always listen to me on gear box choices (I wanted to use the Supra box from the start, he wanted to use the Z box) And it also means that the radiator doesn't fit! So we now need to move the gearbox back a little bit and make some custom mounts for it. Will also mean having a custom prop shaft - should hopefully have this done by end of next week ( ) i also made the mistake of adding up the cost of the project the other day :scare:
  19. Why? So that if they break in they get into the bedroom & beat me to death while I sleep? I'd rather lose the car than get beaten to death preventing it
