    Amazing "paint" job

Ammended that for you Rich Would be pretty cool to have a bash at that if you know you're going to respray it after anyway like he did. so true that wasn't lack of interest, that one was lack of ability not enough hands Get your class to do it as a project I started off not liking it at all but as it comes together it definatley works
  4. Weather dependant I should be done by Sunday. Then its off to Abbey to get them to fit the fuel system & map it

  7. +1 There is always something that you forget about or in my case decide to change
  8. Got on with a few bits & pieces today in between the rain, snow & the strong winds I decided that with having a week off work & the rain forecast it would be a good idea to buy a gazebo to cover the car so I could work in the rain A quick trip to B&Q and I'd bought one My Z in its new home Its great, keeps the rain off me when I'm under there so I'm happy with it It is a bit tight to the car though but I've put some pillows & padding between the car & the posts to avoid any damage Its also bolted into the ground & tied in quite a few places so its pretty secure Took us a few hours getting that up having to battle against the weather conditions so I finally got to work after lunch Started off by draining the coolant & removing the overflow tank. Then off came the fans & then the radiator. Horrible job & one that hopefully I wont need to do again I've also fitted the idler pulley properly now & tightened the bolts for it My order from Adam should be here tomorrow so I can really get on with things for the rest of the week Also recieved my GTM/Setrab oil cooler today I've put as much of the supercharger kit together as I can do off the car so it should just be a case of bolting it on Finished for the day now because I'm cold & I can't feel my feet anymore First job for tomorrow is to remove the passenger side washer bottle & block the drivers side off - any suggestions will be helpful

    K1 Style

These are excellent quality exhausts but definitely not in the same price range as Japspeed but they won't rust away like the k1 will

Sod the lip a few scrapes never hurt anyone
  13. Wasn't slating you at all, you are entitled to your opinion (albeit a wrong one ) Lets not forget that most US TT kits won't fit on a RHD car because the manifolds interfere with the steering rack. That combined with the fact that Lexx has a HR engine severely limits the choice of used kits that he has available to him. I meant no offence btw, I'd hope that by now a lot of people would understand that 99% of the things I say are said in jest
  14. Thats where the extra power came from the other week then

  16. Buying second hand cars is a bit different to buying used parts I also never insinuated that those who buy 2nd hand parts were cheap or bodgers, it was reference to those who insist on buying cheap knock offs I know full well that buying 2nd hand parts isnt cheap - the UTEC sat in my top drawer is a testament to that - bill for that is somewhere around £800. Not quite the bargain that it seemed at the time Just always be careful when buying 2nd hand, especially when buying from the states as you have zero comeback should anything happen to it I would just hate to see a member spend a few K buying something used from the states & finding out that its knackered & they have no comeback at all. You've seen the price that Assaultech are selling brand new Vortechs for, why take the risk on a used one?
  17. When did genuine used parts become cheapo parts? Are we talking the samething here? who are you trying to impress Why would I try to impress? I don't really care what people think - if I did then a lot of the parts on my car wouldn't be there I just buy what I can afford Who said anything about used parts But on the subject of used parts there are somethings that I would buy & have bought second hand even though I got stung on one occassion but things like engine internals & superchargers/turbos I would only ever buy new
