  1. Wasnt there a post on a Lexus lane not long ago? I was well up for it as I would just expense the use of it to work proclaiming it got me there quicker which meant they didnt have to pay my travel overtime
  2. +1 thats definately not on. Who was it on here who manged to get a letter right up to the top? Worth searching. They got a letter to someone v important iirc and got a good response back. Someone like NMGB cant be this childish, I suggest you try and get around this a-hole and get through to someone else like their manager, and then their manager and so on
  3. +1 what he said. Also if you can on the email software (I know you can in Gmail) see if you can see the "source" of the email. It will contail not only the email txt but a lot of other crap like where the email has come from. Sometimes all they do is set the display name of the email address to be the same as yours and not the acutal email address itself. Code is from my tax renewal and can help trace who its from: Delivered-To: xxxxxxxxxxxxxx Received: by 10.100.208.12 with SMTP id f12cs5637ang; Thu, 20 Mar 2008 02:05:27 -0700 (PDT) Received: by 10.78.150.7 with SMTP id x7mr4072338hud.52.1206003923652; Thu, 20 Mar 2008 02:05:23 -0700 (PDT) Return-Path: Received: from smtp1.fjserv.net (zem.fjserv.net [xxxxxxxx]) by mx.google.com with ESMTP id p28si831479hub.59.2008.03.20.02.05.22; Thu, 20 Mar 2008 02:05:23 -0700 (PDT) Received-SPF: neutral (google.com: xxxxxxxxxx is neither permitted nor denied by best guess record for domain of donotreply@vehiclelicence.gov.uk) client-ip=xxxxxxxxxx; Authentication-Results: mx.google.com; spf=neutral (google.com: xxxxxxxx is neither permitted nor denied by best guess record for domain of donotreply@vehiclelicence.gov.uk) smtp.mail=donotreply@vehiclelicence.gov.uk Received: from [10.5.32.33] (port=54867 helo=wlogic04) by smtp1.fjserv.net with esmtp (Exim 4.22) id 1JcGCY-0002Cr-E6 for xxxxxxxxxx; Thu, 20 Mar 2008 08:32:42 +0000 Message-ID: <2062428388.1206001962312.JavaMail.beaevl@wlogic04> Date: Thu, 20 Mar 2008 08:32:42 +0000 (GMT) From: Vehicle Licensing Online
  4. Can drive instantly. I suggest you warm them up with a hair dryer before applying as is subtles up the glue and makes it bond better. Also make sure that you have applied the whole thing nicely and not just the edges. I use a cloth and rub it with reasonable pressure all over to make sure the glue has bonded well. Just dont rush and make sure its nice and warm and properly bonded EDIT: Too slow
  5. farmersti: Sorry to hear yet another woeful story of poor Nissan service. When you say Nissan is this NMGB or the local dealership? If its the local dealer, get NMGB involved. In most cases I have heard of once NMGB get involved it gets sorted. As GC350z pointed out, any work Nissan carry out is covered by a 1yr warrenty and they can not remove any prior warrenty. It is up to them to get it fixed if the product is at fault and not wear and tear. The fact that their subcontractor bodged it up is not your fault and should not effect your warrenty. I also suggest you name and shame the dealer and tell them that you are a member here and that if it is not resolved then members on here will not use them any more.
  6. I did think of that when I saw on the weather that it might snow
  7. Will we get some free carbon brakes to test?!
  8. Chris`I

    New tyres for Z

I've got Falken 452's on recommendation from Phil. Had Pirelli P-Zero Rosso on before and I cant really tell any difference, if anything the lower profile of the Falken is nicer as the car feels more solid in the corners with less sidewall flex. I vote for the Falkens as they are pretty cheap and I cant tell the difference to more expensive rubber so will stick with them (unless quick wear is a problem)
  9. Interesting way to introduce yourself! Look forward to seeing what will be offered
  10. If you dig back far enough I think there is a post where he states the LEDs, before he started to offer the service. Its split between a few threads iirc. The newest thread (not the one you want) goes on about people bitching he wont tell them the LEDs as he's offering the service but there was a more experimental thread where he did list what he was trying, finding they were buring out and finally found one he thougth was working. In the other thread he then says they have worked since but wont say what they are. Thats what I seem to remember when I last looked!
  11. From what I can gather: I=inspect R=replace L=Lube T=Tighten Colours alternate so they can easily highlight the right line and tick the right box. And obviously each thing unde the different P1,P2,P3 heading is what is done
  12. Bah thats nothing, I blagged Nissan Basingstoke into a free P3 Still good work on blagging, we should all do it and never pay the first price they try to stick on us
  13. Unless you get it adjusted. Nissan did mine at my last service and has been fine ever since. You can do it yourself if you look in the service manual, just take out the ashtray and tighten the bolt
  14. Be interested to hear how it goes. I need a P1 next week and if Dan Perkins do a good job I will use them as I can see them from my office! Usually use B'stoke Nissan as thats where I got it but the warrenty has run its course now and I dont think I'll reknew it. May get an L1 from Dan Perkins rather than a P1.
  15. Search on www.my350z.com - its a mission and a half, and thats an understatement. Every light up part of the interior bar the dome lights are LEDs, which means you have to unsolder and resolder every LED to the new colour. The guys on my350z spent ages getting the right LEDs to give the same light output and not burn out etc and even then they arent 100% convinced it will last. I wanted to do this to change all my dials and lights to blue but decided it was too much of a mission. Oh and you will also need to change the dial faces as they are amber too, even if the light behind isnt
  16. It's weird. when you fit them you dont noticed them but you just know it doesn't look right without them, subtle but worthwhile imo +1 - when I saw the pic of no covers it looked so weird, they just look right and not like an add on
  17. Love to see a tutorial on that one! Tools required..............angle grinder, double sided sticky tape. Go for it you do realise if I ever did that there would be a knock outside your door with the tvr shell and my car lol, saying here ya go phil work your magic lol Nah!..............you'd never turn up cheeky sod Cheeky but true
  18. +1 easy diy job. Wish we had a decent key like today's beemers/audi's, even a golf IV has a nicer looking key! And doesn't share it with a Micra. Why? All it does is start the thing. The reason BM do that is the drivers want everyone to know they've got the damn thing! At least if you lose your Zed key, someone can't walk straight to the car and get in.... They can if they just walk around pressing the key fob button Not if the range is anything like mine
  19. More Varis lips due beginning of next month, C-West ones in stock now. Nah Phil you dont ever want to sell another Varis lip, we have to keep the club elitist
  20. Dont call me, I dont have a f'in clue what I'm doing - call Phil
  21. Is she American nope... worse.... blond Natural? Amanda is blonde sometimes but not enough to be a laibility behind the wheel Last time we were out I was trying to teach her heel-toe! Shes got the hang of bliping the throttle on downshifts when coming into a fast corner
  22. Thats what Phil said one of my problems might have been, as I commute and do a lot of motorway miles they werent getting used with enough force. Now I leave it to about 10yrs before any junction to brake and slam them on
  23. I beleive rear camber is slightly adjustable. From what I've seen of the service manual there is a nut to adjust it but not by much. Phil and Envy do kits to sort this out I think, best give him a call, much faster and more reliable than our hear-say
