  1. Yup, all good, service was excellent, all went through without a hitch. Met Mark the Service Manager, nice chap, had a quick chat about the cars and how they like to help the club members with preferential prices when they can. Generally all good, back in Sept for my free MOT Stubby is linked in the stubby thread somewhere, one of the eBay jobbies, comes with 3 different lengths of bar to put on it. Will dig out the link if you want.
  2. Excellent, see you on the forums at 6am then when you are bored?
  3. Proper beta testing or playing beta testing? Proper beta testing is boring (like running into every wall to make sure it doesnt glitch), playing it is a lot more but not real testing
  4. Bit far to come mate! Get it all ordered for the Wales meet and we can knock it up at lunch! Sure between a few of us it wont take more than half an hour Or both head to Donny and you'll have an entire weekend...!! Cant I'm skint and Wales run is going to make me even more skint! I might do a write up at some point, it is very easy Nice try to get us to come to Donny though
  5. Dipping the cluch simply presses a switch behind the pedal so it wouldnt be hard to have it wired to a relay that triggers it when the alarm wants to start the engine. Or remove the switch so the car always thinks the cluch is depressed but that mught be dodgy. Either way I leave my car in gear, and I have never seen a car heat up much on a drive way so I wouldnt have it installed

  7. Oh, ok, good stuff, will wait to hear his story. Amanda is back down there shortly go get her front pads and discs fitted, the labour cost to get them to do it was less than the hassle for me to try
  8. Guys, I've been looking for a local mechanic for a while now as the car is out of warrenty soon and dont fancy paying Nissan prices for long. Amanda took her car to a chap that her old man knows to get it serviced, but it turns out that the place is acutally a Nissan Skyline specialist - Rising Sun Performance. I know a few of you used to have Skylines and wondered if you've had any dealings with them? Could be quite handy to get them to fit mods that are more mechanically challenging than I am willing to tackle. Amanda also mentioned that they have done a few TT conversions, possibly to Zeds, but wasnt too sure. Could be good to know in the future if I keep the car for a while So let me know if you've heard of or more importantly dealt with them TIA Chris
  9. I think its in the service manual, try having a look in there. AFAIK its a few bolts and clips and the Nismo is a direct replacement, so whatever you unbolt you bolt back up. This is one reason I'll probably go that route as it can be returned to stock without too much hassle
  10. Get a big ass vinyl sheet and stick it on to see what it would look like
  11. +1 What a crazy thing to do +2 and F'in dangerous! Good job you had one good pad on each disk or you probably would have had a major accident by now!

  13. Yup thats where I got them from. Took about a week to be delivered. I was a bit weary but it was only £15 so worth a punt. I tried other LED light strips and they were pi$$ poor compared to these. Also as you get 3 thats an extra one for the boot light which I have in the works atm The wire on them is really thin though, so I soldered some chunkier stuff on so that I could tap it to the interior lighting. Will post a pic of where I tapped it so you can do it easily.
  14. Well general consensus is that they look good Right answers to questions: -No pics with dash lit up, will take some tomorrow -They arent as bright as they appear, camera makes them look more intense -Lights come on with the dome lights when triggered automatically - so when the car is unlocked, door opened or key removed from ignition. They go off when you shut the door and put the key in the ignition -Not on when driving -No great need to see my feet, but sure they will be handy when I drop stuff -They do come in green - Seeeeeeeeee
  15. I have added some LED light strips to my footwell to light it ala JDM stylee. Not sure, what do you think - nice or rice?! I think I quite like it
  16. carbon lip, wheels etc supplied by us give us a call if your interested. No no, the lip isnt made any more. Limited run by Varis just for me (just kidding) In all seriousness, Phil is the man to see, I got most of my stuff off him, not only cos he can beat nearly all prices, but his customer service is spot on
  17. Sorry I missed you, must be more observant when reading posts that refer to today and tomorrow
  18. Haha yeah I was just thinking that when I read you post about being there "tomorrow" which I read today, but you posted it yesterday! Should have known, I was there at 8am, but could have popped over to say hi when you got there if I'd realised! Glad the service went well and you like my car EDIT: Also just reaslise I got my first spotted
  19. +1, very good independent specialists and around £50 p/h labour Called TDI they are gettin back to me. They are only a walk away from my house too. I think they might have a new regular customer in the making
  20. the latter Hmm, might have to get me some if I venture into track days as well as some better brake fluid, as they shouldnt be too hard for even a muppet like me to install Let us know how you get on wth them Jay will do, as it was recommended by esr and Ive always gone by what they say or recommend, so I know it will be an improvement. Just wish me uck when I try and bed the pads in I'm sure theres always a member near by to give a helping hand, or foot in this case EDIT: Managed to fix the broken quotes too
  21. Just pick one, they're all good Phil: Can you get those Veilside side skirt/spat on the bronze one in carbon? yes, take about 7 days. £195 set Interesting Watch this space then
  22. the latter Hmm, might have to get me some if I venture into track days as well as some better brake fluid, as they shouldnt be too hard for even a muppet like me to install Let us know how you get on wth them Jay
  23. I'm paying £160 for a P1 down here in Slough so to get a L2 it sounds good. From what I have read around, Px services are Nissan spec service where they hook it up to the diagnostics machines and have a set routine for the service and Lx is the dealer equivelant but isnt quite the same, dont have to do the diagnostics stuff and thus is cheaper as its not a Nissan approved service.
  24. Think it may be Albanian cool I thought I was buying them for the looks lol, but then you wont be able to see the lines anyway will ya? Infact where on earth do these go? on the brakes On a serious note, dont know how these work on cars as I've only changed them on bikes, but do these lines run from the master cylinder the full length of the car to the calipers or is there hard piping going all the way and these just do the last couple of foot that needs to be flexible for the suspension movement? I'm guessing the latter.
