  1. Halfords will mix it for you. But be warned it is a little darker than the standard paint if not mixed like a nutter! Put it on very thin and layer it up otherwise it will look ok from some angles and cack from others as the flecks in the paint settle at the bottom of any thick parts.
  2. Me too. The other thing I was thinking was to try one of those booster things that I think 3FIDDYZ has that attaches to the throttle pedal sensor and fiddles with the signal to give supposidly better response (by basically multiplying what you do to the ECU) to see if that would give me a higher reading. Hmmm......
  3. Ah I see, like play in the steering. No it increases as soon as you so much as wave your foot at the pedal. Any kind of pressure on the pedal will register as 1-2%, actually moving the pedal a few mm/cm gets you from 5-10%. What I would call half throttle (feels half way to me) is about 30% and full whack to the floor is 88%. Tried this morning to do it while driving and gave the same values. I wonder if there is some kind of built in overhead in the throttle in that if there doesnt seem to be pulling enough air it can open it further, but doesnt atm as it gets max airflow without it. Thinking that because it caps the power for us (damn clever ECU!) it doesnt ever need to open it all the way?
  4. Whats the postmark on it? If its dated Thursday/Friday then I'd tell them to feck right off as that isnt a reasonable amount of notice. Nix: I'd argue all the way on that one. Get on to Citezens Advice and see what they say. I can see lots of room for arguement around some of those points and certainly would be paying all of it (cleaning epsecially!!!), and for the crane lift, I'd want to see that they'd split the cost across all the bikes recovered assuming they were all done on the same recovery vehicle. You can but ask
  5. There is a technical service bulletin (TSB) out against it. It was something to do with part of it needing greasing iirc. Try doing a search on my350z for it, you should be able to find the TSB in pdf format telling you how to sort it
  6. An interesting thing I did find mind, is when I have my OBDII hooked up and pedal flat to the floor, it only ever says 88% throttle. Think I'm being robbed of 12% throttle somewhere
  7. +1 - have a look behind the throttle pedal - you'll see the potentiometer (the variable resistor type thing?). No mechanical cable
  8. Congrats Phil! Sure you will have many years of enjoyment teaching the little on all about cars and Zeds Are you going to get him one today to mark the occasion and have it all tuned up and ready to go when he hits 17?
  9. Oh yes, we pretty well cover the country every year. Check out my facenook page for some more. It will link through the 350z-uk site. And if you dont understand Martinish - in English thats Facebook! http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=4863263215
  10. I'd be leaning towards the PE kit as Chris suggests. Give Envy a call, they've been running one successfully for a while now
  11. + 1 Pics are excellent esp if they can be printed onto canvas. Need one for my office +2 - Amanda says "wow". Think thats the nod from her
  12. +1 to the letter. I had a mate who worked as a solicitor and he said you would be amazed at what you can do with some headered letter paper
  13. Yup, get a P2 and be on the safe side
  14. Nismo style body kit too, not even authentic
  15. +1 - jack it up and get the under tray off, its dead easy! Few 10mm bolts and its off. Its only plastic too so you could just undo the side that you are working on and bend it out the way. Should only take 10-15mins
  16. Looks like those helpful chaps in the US have found what they are for you - Project Kics See if the usual suspects can get hold of the socket for you (Phil, Adam, Kev, JDM Perf etc) Good luck!
  17. I get rubbish reception too. Not built as well as the VAG cars I've had in the past I was going to look for a new aerial for mine, and I mean compelete replacement to get away from the Nissan amp, but not got around to it yet.
  18. The difference as far as I am aware between a Lx & Px (x = 1/2/3) is that a Px is the proper Nissan service for in warrenty cars where they hook it up to the Diagnostic machine and Lx is the same but without the diagnostics. I heard that if you have a Px while it is in warrenty then it voids it. After warrenty Lx is the way to go, for most garages you get more than a Px and cheaper!
  19. 2 weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Surely someone else can do it quicker!! i'd say 3 six inch cracks was an emergency Yep 2 weeks. My insurance company will only pay upto £150 if i dont use their recommended company (RAC), who said that they cant get the glass until 12 July! The cracks havent got any worse though fortunately! Hope you arent driving it! Do you know how much structural strength comes from the windscreen! Wouldnt want to have a crash with an already cracked screen!!!!!
  20. Yeah I think it comes down to the closest garage really. BP are just around the corner, but Tesco are about another 2mins away (and on my way to work) and are a hell of a lot cheaper. I did once have to put 10 quids worth of Morrisons 95RON in and felt dirty
