  1. I thought they'd easily do over 30MPG. I was thinking it was down to driving style til you said the Zed does the same. Thats shocking from a 2.0T. My mates Evo gets about 20MPG and that chucks fuel out the back, very literally from the smell!
  2. My mate had a CTR and said he only got 24MPG doing the same driving as me. And thats a 2l! I think we do damn good to get what we do from it. My Leon FR used to get a max of 35MPG on long stretches (1.8T) where the Zed manages 30MPG. For near as damn it twice the displacement that aint bad!
  3. What happened in the post race interviews? Was Stoner kicking off? I think he based Rossi just as much as Rossi bashed him, its all good fun at the end of the day
  4. When is the next Wales run? Some time around October if I remember rightly
  5. Just hope I dont have to sell up mine as its not many less miles than that Mustn't grumble, work pay all my fuel atm, but if it gets much higher the PPM wont cut it any more
  6. No no no, he adds the numbers to painting by numbers kits
  7. Cool - might give it a go in mine and see how they compare
  8. Yeah we discovered that there are 2 threads to some of the Zeds. We named them aptly fat thread and thin thread. My 53 car had fat threads on both front and rear. Some had thin front and rear and someone (sorry cant remember who it was) has fat at the rear and thin at the front! Very strange!!! Bring your tapping kit to the next Wales run Tim, you may have a few asking for help!
  9. Is that using the OBD-II port? I have a similar feature on my OBD software though never tested it. How accurate is it? Cos if it just uses OBD-II I didnt think the refresh was quick enough to get accurate times? Did you have it only polling the car speed? If so I guess that could work quick enough. Must resist giving it a go myself
  10. As Phil said, EDFC allows you to set the damping on the fly from within the car. You dont need it to set up the car right, just makes it a whole lot easier if you track the car to set it up nicely for each track. On the street you will pretty much "set it and forget it"
  11. We were just commenting on this the other day actually! I was supprised that most of my mates also have a little nap in the middle of the F1 like I usually do Not any more though with the excitement that Hamilton brings! Just hope he doesnt get too good like Schuey and win from the front all the time

Interesting. Didnt get me one of them with my car Wish I had known earlier, I could have gotten yet another free service for the ballsing stuff up
  13. Cracking race! Gotta love Lewis for giving us a good race. He doesnt seem able to just get to the front from the start and stay there. Always something exciting happening, usually bad tactics, but it makes it all the more interesting to us! The ITV commentators seemed to think he wouldnt make the soft tyres last til the end of the race if he came in on the safety car and that is why they pit him later on.
  14. Rossi was awesome! How he didnt fall off on the corkscrew I will never know! Didnt see the after race interviews as the missus was moaning, did Stoner kick off? It was quite a physical race, but then Rossi never has been one to back down from a fight

    What 'box?

+1 Also I think you can do better than the one on Autotrader. Its quite high milage. I think for not a lot more you can get one with a lot less miles
  16. Afraid not, I don't have any disks at all. I'm just a poor IT security professional / software engineer. Average rate for IT security contracts in the UK is at least £400 a day. . . . come on now . . Do you still need a JDM disk? Not everyone has the chance to contract and salaries in IT arent as rosy as they used to be if you arent contracting
  17. Means he turns a Jap one into a UK one mate MrDohnuts: good work chap! Sounds like this could be a lot easier than Nissan normally make things!
  18. I get around 28-30 consistently. True most of that is motorway, but shows that if you dont drive it like you stole it all the time it will return pretty good figures. And VAG engines are weird and wonderful beasts. I heard of Leon Cupras being remapped to much higher power and also reported better MPG. The assumption was always that as the toque was available lower down, you didnt have to rev as much which meant better fuel consumption. Not the way it works with most cars, but VAG maps consistenly showed better MPG
  19. I heard it was complete and utter cack, and was sooo pleased when Amanda said she didnt want to see it!!
  20. Just wait for the ANPR camera teams to get em!
  21. Flashing your headlights officially is purely to let other motorists know you are there. They would find it damn near, if not impossible to do anything to stop you doing it. It is not preverting the course of justice, I think we should ask them to give an example of someone being prosecuted for it. Its just scare tactics. If all else fails, you say you were flashing the car infront as they were driving dodgily. They have to prove you wrong at the end of the day! Never admit you were doing to to warn the other drivers though!
  22. Odd that its fishtailing if the rear tyres are fine, you should just find more understeer if the fronts are shot, not oversteer. Either way its a good excuse to get some better rubber which is always good!!
